Ill buy iPad 5 to replace my good old iPad 2.
I may also buy the iPhone 5C if the price is right.

Looks nice, but I wish the white iPhone 5C's front would be white too! Why isn't it? It would look so much nicer and cleaner, like the MacRumors renders.

That confused me as well. Why not color-match the front display housing with the plastic body? I guess we will only know for sure about this when the phone is officially announced.

all i want from apple is that they fix the goddamn lighting hdmi adapter...

What's wrong with it?

I think the front part is just from another iPhone. I think the iPhone 5C will have a white front just like the iPod touch.

are there any leaked photos or videos of the rumored smartwatch from apple, or the iTV or the rumored gaming console. these are the products i wanna know about, cant wait for more leaks about these products.

Would be cheaper if all the screens are black. and i prefer the black frame to a white one, even with a white back.

So I should have passed on the only available iPad with retina at the time?

Your bright

And lol iPad 3 handles ios7 beta as good as iPhone 5 .

He probably meant that tech products will always become obsolete at some point.

Not for me. Although I prefer plastic over metal for phones, I rather have matte plastic over glossy plastic.

I don't think so. Also because that wasnt my original point. I have owned every iPad except for the 4. Isn't the fact that all tech products become obsolete quick common knowledge ?

lol I took it as it was a bash on the iPad 3 because of all the issues around the heat and too heavy and all. It was a great machine and has been flawless since day one . This is the iPad imo I think everyone has been waiting for . Sorry for the ramble but that was the point of my original post .

Cheap
China
Color

I hope it doesn't stand for Color, that means the aluminum iPhone would never get the Color options like the iPod touches, in the future.

And I don't think they would use the english letter 'C' for china if it was to be only in china. They would use '比'. I think?

These leaks feel like they've been going on forever... release it already!

What's interesting to me about all "these leaks" and every writer saying how hard it is to keep a lid on things in the supply chain and at the carriers is how relatively quiet things have been on the new higher end iPhone while details on this "5C" and all kinds of iPad stuff has been coming out...

...so what's the explanation for THAT (unless I've missed such leaks)??

A FP scanner has some very intriguing possibilities and has the potential to be the first killer app/feature since the 4's retina display. We'll soon see.

As for the competition closing in, from a hardware perspective, sure, but from a software/ecosystem perspective? Not so much. Our company is a major Windows/Android OEM and most of us use iDevices for personal use. Even my Google contacts use iPhones and iPads. That alone should tell you something.

Android is great for the media and carriers and they've been pushing it really hard, but in actual use, it stil feels like a very clunky and unpolished iOS.

You're 100% right. I am really excited for the FP sensor (assuming the 5S will have one). I think it's going to be the 1st FPS that actually works properly. And the possibilities are endless as far as integration goes. And you're also right about the OS and ecosystem. Android has a long way to go before it's on par or even close to iOS. But hardware is what sells. And I'd be willing to bet most people don't even know or appreciate just how smooth iOS really is in comparison. They're buying based on how much they like the hardware. And the truth is that the competition's hardware is getting nicer, better, and faster. And Apple is starting to feel it.

I really don't have a reason for saying what I said other then I don't feel the the S cycle is going to work much longer. I just have an odd feeling that its gonna be a down year for apple and iPhone. I am also not one of those guys who thinks apple should completely redesign the iPhone every year just for the sake of change. The 5 is almost perfect for what i do. But looking ahead, and assuming the 5S gets a spec bump, camera upgrade, and FP sensor. Im just not sure I'm excited to know that we won't be seeing anything else until late 2014.

Maybe I'm 100% wrong.

The only thing that would surprise me is an updated iPod Classic (it'll be the only 30-pin device in their product line-up this fall if it's not updated)

I don't think that one should be much of a surprise. It seems like Apple is wanting to get rid of the 30-pin connector so I'd expect either a small update to add a lightning connector to the classic, or for them to finally discontinue it. And it's a low enough volume product that it wouldn't be hard for apple to pull off a small update without leaks.

One step behind on CPU, GPU, camera. 3G only. Plastic body. Smaller storage. Plus whatever new features the 5S gets.

That sounds like more differentiation that most model ranges have.
Lol, you should stop inventing.

So many leaks nowadays. I remember the days when Apple would announce a product and it was a total surprise. Now we know pretty much everything coming out this fall. The only thing that would surprise me is an updated iPod Classic (it'll be the only 30-pin device in their product line-up this fall if it's not updated) or a bigger screen on the iPhone 6 (as opposed to the, releasing the rumoured 5S).

You say that, but I think it's entirely possible that the new iPhone 5C (if it exists) will surprise and shock people more than any product announcements in recent times. People are expecting something that I don't think Apple would ever build, so I think we're going to be quite dumbfounded when we learn what they've actually built.

The retina iPad mini will also have phone capability :D That will be the next "one more thing". Take that phablet market

Apple still surprises

I don't think many predicted just how many products would be updated at the time the iPad Mini was launched, and I don't think many predicted what the new Mac Pro would look like.

It's just that new product announcements seem few and far between now ...

Yes, this is true. We didn't know anything about the Mac Pro. The iPad 4 was a surprise. We knew that a iPad mini announcement was likely, though. So I guess they do still surprise, but a majority of their main products for this fall won't be surprising since we've seen almost all of them. The iPhones and iPads have all been photographed and revealed. We even know that the 5S will (most likely) have a cool fingerprint scanner because of the beta code and insiders. (However, we haven't seen any physical evidence.) The only things we haven't seen are iPods. I suppose the specs aren't known, but they can be predicted fairly easily, I think.

I do hope I'm wrong and Apple reveals something that's been kept a secret and is exciting.
