For the record

No tethering, no sending messages with photos, etc. Is it me or does AT&T just suck! I was excited about the 3.0 update but not so much now. AT&T is months away from allowing those services that are key and equivalent to other phones already out there. When does their contract expire with Apple anyway? And why would I buy a new phone to be tied into another 2 year contract with a company that can't get its act together. Oh yeah, I've had 103 dropped calls in 2 weeks. Apple told me to turn 3G off and use the Edge network. Only use the 3G when I need to use the internet. I'm sorry AT&T but the phone is called 3G? WTF? You suck AT&T!

OK, I've vented. Now please release the download soon Apple!

Im sure this has been established allready but I thought I'd just give you yet another source;

One of the swedish carriers for the iPhone, Telia, has posted this site with info about the 3.0 update.
Page is in swedish but the most intresting part is the top two lines:

För iPhone-ägare blir det bara bättre. Den 17 juni 19.00 svensk tid kommer nya kostnadsfria mjukvaruuppdateringen med iPhone OS 3.0. Uppdateringen innehåller mer än 100 nya funktioner, exempelvis möjlighet att:

I am pretty sick of AT&Ts piss poor network as well. I have a tun of dropped calls even on my Edge OG iPhone.

I totally agree, if apple would have 2-3 carriers then each would offer better value and compete for customers. As of now At&t has no competition and can take there sweet ass time to get stuff done.

Think about, how in the future, we could tether for an iphone update... in the car :)

I'm kind of hoping that after push notifications, Apple will be able to push updates to us ... a box will pop up that says "do you want to install update X from Apple? Yes, No, Remind Me Later." :)
Even if it says I have to find a WiFi connection, I would be happy with that. :)

There's one problem though ... you need to be connected to iTunes because it needs to backup your phone before you update.

No, it's definitely not just you, AT&T sucks too! :D

The debate about network coverage makes zero sense. Signal strength and coverage depends on LOCATION. It is not the same everywhere.

I'm on AT&T and haven't dropped a call since firmware 2.1 came out...

Which is why people who claim that AT&T blows because they have had dropped calls are speaking from ignorance. The network is different from one area to the next. If the network sucks in your area, then you shouldn't use AT&T. Its that simple.
