People Who Don't Eat Eggs.

Atlantic salmon? I find it hard to believe they are less contaminated than other fish especially salmon from the Pacific, which are objectively tastier.
Wait. What? Aren't those two different oceans? There are laws protecting Atlantic Salmon. BTW, smaller fish, like sardines are much healthier to eat because they are not living in the ocean for as long, so they absorb much fewer toxins than bigger fish do.

I barely eat eggs, not because of any moral reason or taste, but because they always give me stomach problems lol. Like I’ll enjoy a good bacon egg and cheese sandwich or omelette every once in a while, but I’ll regret it in a few hours.

Sounds like my wife. She can’t hardly eat anything anyway!

Cut out the cheese - full of bacteria! :)

Well very unscientific I was just thinking Alaska and BC are less populated (somewhat) than the East Coast of North America but probably wishful thinking on my part.

Yes ummm it's supposed to have bacteria. We actually need bacteria and have a massive amount living within us. This is why antibiotics have negative effects since they kill both beneficial and harmful bacteria.

As someone else said, bacteria is kinda what cheese is known for lol.

But the cheese isn’t the issue, I use the same type of cheese on my lunch sandwiches and I feel fine. It’s whenever eggs are involved that I have issues.

Poor joke - I’ll keep my day job. :)

There are more bacteria in your body than human cells. If you killed off all the bacteria in the world humans would cease to exist. People who eat yogurt (real yogurt, not the supermarket kind) actually live loner than people who don't.

An expired cheese probably taste even better, hardly anyone get sick from cheese. Eggs are very delicate, its a must that you check expired dates otherwise you will be greeted with surprises once you crack the egg.

That has to be really hard. I can’t imagine being told I can’t eat eggs or certain XYZ foods. I understand other people have food allergens and restrictions, but I think it’s one of the few things we take for granted in this life, being that some of us can eat what we want, when others can’t. So I’m grateful that my digestive system and my health allows me to incorporate dairy/eggs into my lifestyle. But I’m sure your wife has her entire diet dial down perfectly, which isn’t easy on its own either.

The owner of that website, Michael Greger, is very biased. I used to follow him but then I stopped after he said a few things that I knew weren't true. There was a study that claimed eggs were bad for you, but many health and nutritional experts have weighed in on the study, pointing out its multiple flaws. The study claim eggs caused issues by raising your cholesterol, but higher egg intake was actually related to lower LDL (so-called “bad” cholesterol associated with CVD). So there is a clear contradiction with the findings. There have been several meta-analyses that have also refuted the claim that egg consumption raises your risk for CVD. The bottom line is that eggs contain valuable vitamins and minerals, including selenium, vitamins B2 (riboflavin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B7 (biotin) and B12, protein, iodine (many people are low in this), plus vitamin D, zinc, omega-3 fats, lutein, zeaxanthin and choline. There is no way that those vitamins and minerals are bad for your health, in fact, just the opposite.
Balance is important. Too much of anything can be bad for you.

I remember a few families having their own chickens, so that they'd get fresh eggs every morning, but we usually got them at the store. My grandmother always considered brown eggs more healthy but she didn't have any good reason for it. We'd usually go out into the country on Sundays and she'd find a farmer selling produce and eggs from the back of his truck. Fresh is best.

I have an open mind, and regularly eat foods that are considered odd for the western pallet. However I really do not care for eggs.

I have tried to eat them many, many times, but something about the texture physically repulses me. I can sometimes get away with eating an omlette, or quiche. However sometimes my body will react so badly that I need to throw up immediately.

You only need to vomit at fancy brunch places a few times before you just move onto the pancakes.

It really is a shame too since from a nutrition standpoint eggs are the perfect food.

Try to buy organic or free range eggs and don't let them sit too much in the fridge. If you want get rid of the smell, fry onion and tomatoes with oil for 4-5 minutes then add the eggs and cook until its a bit dry. Cut 2 or 3 green chillies and cook for few minutes and off you go. Chilli flakes are good as well.

I cant stand the smell of bad eggs , the texture repulses me as well.

Some posts are describing what happens to my son if he eats eggs (or dairy products, or chicken, or soy). He was tested, and has food allergies. So, he doesn't eat any of those things, and he feels fine.

Some of the posts seem to indicate concurrence with the belief that eating an egg is the same as eating an undeveloped chick. It's pretty easy to find out that this is not the case. Here's a quote from a "People Also Ask" drop-down on Yahoo!:

Is there a chick in every egg?
  • No, most chicken eggs that are sold commercially are unfertilized and can never hatch into tiny chicks.

Problem is egg and Chicken industry is dodgy in many countries. Not every egg wholesalers or whoever are doing the right thing. Yes many egg consumers found chick parts, excessive blood and other stuff around the world. I would say certain percentage of the population don't eat eggs.

My 2 uncles, mother and younger sister never eat eggs. I eat once a week.

Less than 1 % of eggs are from small farms and chicken living in somewhat good conditions (there's no true free range chickens, all of them are prisoners and bred to maximise production). However, most eggs come from nasty places like this: chicken mass farming eggs
Chickens on their own don't live in somewhat good conditions. You can hope for better but wild or not, they're birds and they don't know better.

I....I just couldn’t help myself to post another gratuitous photo....again😁. (Oh, that’s not coffee BTW, that’s a crafted protein shake.)
