Petition to remove iOS 7 install on iOS 6?

If you read my OP, it causes one app to not work right (tested on wife's iPhone 4), so I CANNOT upgrade.

Overall I like iOS 7 when I tried it, but it is not for me.

Lol I wouldn't be able to NOT upgrade to iOS 7 - because iPad Air and iPhone 5s come with it. No taken up space, no update issues.... Never had ForstallOS on these, although I do still like iOS 6 (not that I disliked iveOS). Am I complaining about that? Initiating childish petitions? No.

Get yourself a newer device with more space, and be it with iOS 6, but by WWDC 14, you will have installed iOS 7, I bet.

It's not Apple's fault to provide a new OS, it's the developer's fault to not update his app.

no i dont but whats funny about an 8 gig iphone 4? apple was selling them with a straight face.

maybe apple should have spent less time considering that one was not updating a device and more time on making the update function properly on said device. that and having the forced downloads undeletable creates this situation.

The petition idea is childish because even though the OP does NOT agree with how Apple is deciding who gets updates and when he "AGREED" to the license agreement that states Apple decides who gets updates and when. 😕

we can have endless debates about the legality of this. fact remains however that nothing in the terms describes anything close to how this actually transpires.

but however that would all be off topic and it is plain and simple trolling and rude to disrupt a thread in such a way. if you dont agree with the op then it is pretty obvious that for this particular thread you and other in this thread have simply nothing to add. you should simply start your own thread and praise apples ever reaching terms of service and way of prettyfying their ios7 adoption rate.

Not really, the initial topic could likely be answered within a post (or they could make their own). The idea of questioning such a petition should be within the scopes of the topic at hand (the petition) as well as the viability of said petition.

btw where do you read auto download there?

You don't. You can't. You should stop complaining. By agreeing that Apple has control over the software you are agreeing that they can distribute it by any means necessary. They are telling the software currently on your phone to fetch the new software which is under this jurisdiction.

Where, if any, is your proof that the update is not functioning properly on your device? All I heard was that an app (non-apple) wasn't working, which is the developers fault.

So they had in mind that you update your iPhone 4 for which iOS 7 isn't the greatest fit and most of the people tell others "you shouldn't have updated your old phone" when they talk about performance and stability issues with iOS 7?

maybe he should have posted this in the tips, help and troubleshooting subsection but he was asking for a url of a petition not our views. i think its fair we honor that. im sure everyone here has had to ask for assistance regarding something.

its not about me controlling it. its following the intention of the thread our at least letting it reach its natural course before its changed into a different kind of conversation.

But it IS Apples fault to eat up 1/6 of your phones storage (if you have 8GB) for something you do not want?

How would you feel if 1/6 of your house was off limits until you do agree to have all your furniture changed out.
