You forget Lg optimus G released november 2012 4.7" 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5 mm and if we look in 2014 lg optimus l9 ii 4.7" 128.4 x 66.5 x 9 mm :roll eyes: .
The top and bottom bezels are Huge and there is no excuse.
Without the bars where do you put the camera, speaker and home button / touch id? It's not Ive's fault if technology is not ready for cam and sensor to be integrated in the screen.
I didn't try to find excuse but to understand why the bezels is so big...
The only reason i can see is the touch ID button.

If everyone was awesome like me, apple would be scrambling to make the 2.5-3" iphone nano, 40 grams and just barely bigger than the current ipod nano.
So Apple sit down on her ass and only make a bigger iPhone 5S to satisfy the people ?

The S5 uses a cheaper, less accurate and harder to use swipe sensor vs. Apple's TouchID implementation.
Indeed but these photos show they have lots of bezel they could remove even while keeping the home button, just looks like lazy. Another reason is prob Ive's OCD bezel must be equal top and bottom.

Exactly. Looking at the plant in the background. This is way too small of an operation for the volume that Apple works at. My take is these are pre-knock off parts in a plant making unlicensed "iPhone 6" devices. The most extreme is this is a very well fabricated hoax leading the public in the wrong direction.
So funny people saying the iPhone 6 will have the same design as the 5/5s ...

If you compare the front panel of an iPad with one of an iPhone, they will be also identical with just different dimensions and guess what they have different designs.. magical

So far the only change is bigger screen. I was really hoping for more edge to edge display.
The rest of the leaks are so so in my opinion also.
I really hope they end up coming out with something more rich feeling and looking as they have in the past.

Well what a radical innovative...
...departure from the design of the 4 & 5 series. The innovative bezel free display without any ugly protruding buttons, camera and sensor windows (like the superb 2 year old Nexus 4). The flexible screen and body to reduce breakage. The ground breaking use of side sensors to adjust volume more easily. The more sensibly placed (centre!) rear camera. The stereo speakers and wireless charging.
This should kill the competition dead! Way to go Apple! Glad to see you're not resting on your laurels.

The fact everyone is so hyped up in what is simply a larger slimmer version of the iPhone 4 and 5 series shows how Apple fanbois will buy ANYTHING with an Apple logo on it, rather than base their judgement call on the specification.
The hype over a rather dull sounding unreleased product is tragic.
Even the Note 2 had a better screen and feature set than the 5s, and assuming the 6 is simply a larger 5, then that too!
And to think, most girls who buy an iPhone will only run three apps: SnapChat, Facebook and CandyCrush.

The Galaxy showed the public there is demand for a larger screen. I am sure buried in Apple IT is a email thread with Steve's comments on a screen this size. Love to read that with a bag of popcorn in front of me.
