Let me get this straight:

-iPhone 5 is released: "Wahhhhhh its TOO SKINNY"

-iPhone 6 faceplate leaked: "Wahhhhhh its TOO WIDE"

Seriously?

While I hope the actually device bezels are smaller, I get it if they turn out to be more like this leak. Bezel-less devices are a pipe dream, not viable at this point. The phone would be too weak on the sides.

So at this point, I'm fine with a larger device. I think it will be in line size-wise with comparable 4.7" - 5" display devices.

And those complaining about the "alleged" $100 price hike and being FORCED to get a larger iPhone. Use your damn brains....

(1) The 5S and likely 5C will still exist after the 6 is released. 4" iPhones with more than enough power for ANY app out there. Hell, they'll probably drop in price too ($0/$350 for the iPhone 5C, $99/$450 for the 5S).

(2) That $100 price hike will likely come with the 5.5" iPhone. Just like the difference in the Note 3 and the Galaxy S phones. Just like the difference in the iPad rMini and Air. The 5.5" phablet will have a higher clock speed, higher res display, and perhaps some surprise features. And it'll start at $299/$750. The iPhone 6 (4.7") will start, just like every damn iPhone has for the last however many years, at $199/$650.

Now please....grow up and relax.

Still think one new 5" model is more likely than two models with 4.7" and 5.5" screens. Just about all the competitors have or will have a flagship 5" model this year.

Peoples thumbs sure have gotten longer in two years.

Every time I hear about a potentially larger iPhone, that's what I think of.

I don't understand this. Apple marketed the 3.5" and 4" devices as perfect for one-handed use.

The fact they are probably producing larger screen devices doesn't do anything to negate those comments.

Now, if we see a Jony Ive video talking about how the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones can be used one-handed easily, then we'll have a problem.

Best guess, they'll use something else to market the devices. But trying to say that Apple is contradicting themselves in some way is ridiculous. They're simply acknowledging that some portion of the market wants larger screens - and while I don't believe for a second that its a majority, it is substantial enough for Apple to listen.

I don't see any way this can't be positive for Apple.

meh....

Now is the time to wip out that handy-dandy Bluetooth headset.... If you thought you needed it before, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Such a shame that Apple was put on pressure to actually make a bigger iPhone. It's not a bloody iPad, it should be an iPhone (the Phone), not the tablet that Samsung is making in 100 different shapes.

I suppose people will get used to it, but......

Android has massive screens....... Mostly...

I definitely agree, main idea behind iPhone idea was size. It was a little computer you put on your pocket. It's meant to be a communication, information and entertainment device. iPad was the media consuming and internet browsing device. A 4.7'' or 5.5'' phone is too big to carry and too small to use as a media / internet device. Apple should have stayed with 9.7'' iPad and 3.5'' iPhone. Wow, Steve was really right.

Just looks like an oversized iPhone. While that's fine and all, I kind of wished they had taken the opportunity to at least re-fresh the front design a little and perhaps shrink those ugly bezels.

My fear is that to Apple at least, they feel that their bezels and home button have bcome so "iconic", that they define the iPhone apart from the competition. Really hope that is not the case as the front panel has become very stale IMO :(

how *clever* can you get w/ bezel? you make them as thin as you need them to be.

Not so much the left and right side bezels, but the big ugly ones top and bottom.

really too big to carry??

0.7" more than the 5s and its too big to carry

me think you need to glance at a ruler to see what 0.7" looks like

The rumor came from someone who doesn't have a great track record as far as Apple predictions go. It's also possible that IF Apple is also working on a 5.5" device the $100 price increase is for that product.

This makes the most sense, IMO. I don't think anyone would realistically expect a 5.5" iPhone for the current price.

I hate all of you who want a bigger iPhone. Apple is just giving the customer what it wants and it seems everyone wants a bigger phone these days and I hate you all. I like being able to put mine in my pocket. You all can suck it! Suck it hard!

Hahahaha...Me me me me me me me me me! Want some more whine with your cheese?

(Stop being such a millenial)

it's definitely legit. I was hoping for more rounded corners and a smaller home button to reduce wasted bezels area, but it's still ok. Now I hope for a not too high ppi screen so a much better battery life. Anyone can tell if its 4,7" for sure or it maybe 4,5"??

"It's definitely legit"

I quit reading here.

It's April guys, calm down. We've seen nothing yet.

Looks promissing and legit.
Far more legit than that recent silly design made by a designer commisioned by this site.
Also this puts an end on those nonesense rumors about iPhone 6 being designed based on the cheap 5c.
I like it and I'm 99% sure this is real.

Looks more legit? No *****. It's the same design, just bigger.

While I do appreciate a giant phone, I just wish they would scale down those top and bottom bezels. I feel like that's some wasted potential screen space. Although I guess it could be like the black HTC bar on the M8 that is there because it HAS to be due to needing space for internals. Perhaps Apple can't scale down the top and bottom bezel for similar reasons?

Regardless I'm reaaal interested to see what happens this fall with the iPhone.

For future reference...

"The image appears to show an individual in a factory-type setting [...]"

No, that's either a bonded warehouse or a customs facility at an airport. That's an airline cargo container in the background, and the glassed in stations between the bay doors are secure check-in/check-out rooms. The guy on the left is clearly wearing a uniform with epaulettes and insignia over the left breast. The woman and purple shirted kid are probably not supposed to be there. But, yeah, looks like the 4.7" iPhone 6 front if rumors are to be believed.

All those leaks are getting ridiculous. Did they had an open day at Foxconn or do they just don't care anymore? If only half of them are true, Tim should invest heavily on his doubling down on secrecy efforts.

It's amazing how many negative comments already and the phone isn't even out yet! It's human nature I reckon, your iPhone will never satisfy your hungry needs, it will be either "too big" or "too small", "oh that basel is too thick" or "oh the same boring design" or "it's just an enlarged 5S" and so on.

People wanted bigger screen? They got it! according to the leaks anyway. Nope, it doesn't end there, yet... there's still something else we need to complain about, don't we? ;)

Apple listen up, people want an entirely redesigned iPhone but in doing so make sure you address everyone's needs first, make it perfect, okay? Screen size, basel thickness, highest camera specs possible and reduce the price, can't be that hard?! Just be prepared to have your stock crash on hear about lack of innovation.

My Note 2 fits just fine in all of my pockets and it's larger than the rumored "smaller" iPhone 6. What kind of pants do you wear? Super duper slim?

I have a Note 3 and it fits in my pocket with room to spare. That has a 5.7" display. I could even wedge a Nexus 7 if need be.
