I feel like if this leak is legit, and this is what the screen size relative to the front panel of the phone will look like, then Apple will need some "factor" about the screen that makes it better than everyone else's - something to market it with that makes it seem better than other displays on other devices, despite the fact they are larger. Kind of like the transition from the 3GS to the 4, when the display was one of the smallest on the market, but yet its resolution and quality made it stand out.

What that factor could be is hard to say, since high resolution displays are a dime a dozen these days.

if they are slapping a "6" at the end of it, it needs a new design. thinner bezel all around! ipad mini-esque back panel.

20 years from now, we, the humans wont be bigger and our hands wont be bigger and if we still use devices with our hands, we would prefer to use them with one hand. Whatever device we have in our life in 20 years, it must be small enough to enter our pockets and attach to our body without looking as a dush. Things must change making them better not trading portability or ease of use just to have a bigger display for your eyes.

how do you know what technology we will have in 20 years? if the last 8 are any indication there is going to be a lot more variety. foldable 7 inch screens that fit in pockets just fine who knows what will happen. Not complaining about a .7" screen. Thats for sure. Stop worrying about things and just go with the flow...

Everyone crying about how big it looks just take a deep breathe and realize its just the camera angle as others have mentioned. Look how big her right thumb is compared to the left.

Those who say 4.7" isnt one hand usable have never used a 4.7" phone.

I have used a 4.7" phone. It isn't usable with one hand.

Hell, the iPhone 5 isn't comfortably usable with one hand.

I won't be entirely happy unless the i6 looks like the MacRumors mockups.

I'm not advocating a bezeless design, but the sides definitely need trimming and a few millimeters can be removed above and below the home button, as well as at the top.

Simply making the same phone larger is just a little disappointing to me. That's what they've been working on?

I hate all of you who want a bigger iPhone. Apple is just giving the customer what it wants and it seems everyone wants a bigger phone these days and I hate you all. I like being able to put mine in my pocket. You all can suck it! Suck it hard!

so giving "you" what you want is not the same thing as giving a different consumer what "they" want?

Love the complaints from the size queens.

me too such drama queens, I have a 4.7" S3 and it fits fine in my pocket and no I dont wear baggy pants, I wear dress pants for work and slim jeans when I am not at work.

I can also navigate the phone fine with one hand, I use 2 hand to type but I also used 2 hands on my Nokia 15 years ago when I was using T9 typing

I don't think you realize many people still like a small phone. Obviously the galaxy phones, htc one, and others are useable and pocketable, but not everyone wants a phone that size. I wish they would have stuck to 3.5" b.c for me it is a phone. I have a tablet if I need a larger screen.

Sadly people that prefer smaller phones are now part of the minority. Do you really think that everyone who bought a 5s bought it because of the small size? I believe a huge number of people bought it just to stay in the ecosystem and their waiting for a larger display.
The only way to satisfy everyone is to release multiple sizes. There is no one size fits all.

I doubt many 'normal' people actually want a bigger screen, its only the sort of people who post on Apple rumour sites.

Now if Apple were to release an iPhone 'nano', that would sell like hotcakes.

There's a creepy ventriloquist doll wearing a red and white stripped shirt, mustache, and hat on the black iPhone screen's reflection.
He's always watching, lurking.

You must have tiny tiny hands lol. I have a 4.7 inch HTC ONE and its easy to use via 1 hand. Can't wait to see the 4.7 iphone...I might make the switch back :D

This makes me very sad: it is way too big. No way do I want to try to stuff that in my pocket or hold it in one hand or make a phone call with it.

I so hope that Apple, while catering to the hopefully temporary "give me a giant phone" insanity out there offers us an alternative top of the line model the size of a 4S or 5S.

I’m sorry….If you can’t fit a 4.7” iPhone into your skinny jeans, there should be plenty of room in your man purse/satchel/messenger bag. ;)
