Nice capture, Nate, 50mm are such awesome lenses.

My contribution, first in a long time. Finally got myself setup with an off-camera flash and light stand etc. The weather is almost cheering up to warm here so I ran out last night to get some practice in. Came home and discovered this gem in from my shoot. Other than removing some power poles, this is as shot:

Haunting. Inspirational. Oh, I so wish I could have shot this!

If this image was on the cover of a novel, the image alone would make it a best seller! And I want to read that book!

Congratulations on a job well done.

Totally agree with Waybo. Now I happen to have a 5DII and the 17-40 f4L-so now I am doubly inspired to know the possibilities.

Hope Garden

Did you know daffodils are a sign of hope? These were planted for my dear friend, who is, I am happy to report, winning her battle with leukemia.

It snowed on Saturday, but we finally have "hope" blooming in our yard! And today, at 5:30 p.m., it's 76 degrees out! Sure hope we have some spring before we jump right into summer!
