For those interested, this was shot from Burnaby Mountain about 15km east of the downtown core, and the lights on the hills in the far distance are on Vancouver Island which is about another 70-80km away.

Hi all,

I posted in the PoTD thread a month or two (or three) ago, but I've been distracted since then. Here's my second contribution. I was driving and saw the cows in the field, so I stopped and took some pictures. The cow in the picture just walked up to me, and this the best picture that I ended up getting.

Neat photo! Are those the foothills off CO-93 in the background?

My church hosted an Angel Tree party this morning. Here is one of the pictures from that party.

If you'd like to see the rest of the pictures, you can view the set here: Angel Tree Party set

I'd actually like some feedback on how I did if you have the time. This is my first real attempt at large event candid pictures. I definitely enjoyed participating and taking the pictures.

^ Stunning! Where is that?

Last night was my first time taking night club photography. Surprisingly everything turned out pretty good. More pics to come in later days

Some really excellent pictures here over the past few days. I especially liked these ones.

Lovely candid shot with great character.

This one and your previous one are tremendous, with a great colour palette.

Fantastic light here!

Reverting to a duck theme from earlier in the year ... there was some excitement on the pond today.

This makes me feel like I'd be walking into thin air... a cool optical illusion, even the reflection of the railing/fence looks to be just hanging there in the vacant space off the edge of a cliff. I've actually been at the Grand Canyon when it was cloudy and this was about all you could see. Nice that you had absolutely no ripples in the water.
