Past Ripe

All the big events before Christmas are finally over, and I have a bit more time to work on some of my image backlogs. Here's one from the same sunset I shared a while back of Atlanta at a bit earlier time in the evening. The clouds were really breath-taking.

I really like that. Looks like its out of a movie. The skyline is really nice.

Photo taken with an iPhone 4S and edited entirely with Snapseed on my iPad. This light was recovered from a NYC ferry that sunk to the ocean floor.

Nice shot

Thanks. I'm not happy with it. I'm still saving my pennies for a 400 or 500mm VR. It'll take a long time but I'm determined to get it. I got this earlier today...

Looks like I'm not the only one who is into bird photography. Awesome photos guys!

Renard the Fox (mascot for Bevo, a non-alcoholic "near beer" that Budweiser brewed during prohibition) sits on the corner of the Bevo Brew House where Budweiser is brewed today.

I just spend the last half hour really enjoying all the work posted here lately. Some really captivating work by all.

Over the coming days I'll be posting a series of shots from my recent trip to Ireland. What a fantastic place! I'll be starting off with some tributes to Doylem's lovely village shots...

I thought all their products match that description.
Seriously, it's nice to see that the Renard the Fox story is known in your side of the pond as well.

It's been a while since i have been "creative" so when the snow hit, i just had to take a shot of my Kids' playhouse...

Can' wait for Christmas holiday to go out shooting more.

Tetons

Took this photo during a trip to Jackson Hole. Mid day sun really killed the photo in color so i did a more "stylized" finish to it and was extremely happy with the result.

:D Sadly, that's about right. Luckily microbreweries making real beer are really starting to take off here. And although I would like to take credit for knowing the story, I can't. I had never heard of Renard until the tour guide told us about it. ;)

This plow is one of thirty-six build by Canadian Pacific's Angus Shops in Montreal between 1920 and 1929. It is a 20-ton, wedge-type plow made for use on a single track (throws snow on both sides). Built without a self-contained power source, this snowplow was pushed by one or two locomotives. The moveable "wings," which propel snow away from the track, extend the plow's ten-foot overall width to sixteen feet when open. Moveable blades at the front, designed to clear the area between the rails, can be raised at crossings to avoid damage to equipment. The snowplow's cab contains compressed air tanks that operate the pneumatic system controlling the wings and blades, as well as providing air for a whistle used by the plow operator to signal the locomotive engineer.

Took these today.
