To me car shots aren't easy in terms of getting something truly interesting. I would see what you can do about cropping the white car (dodge??) out alongside the pastie white legs.

I would try a tighter crop, moving the subject out of slap bang in the centre, also remember that selective colouring is only one overused tool in the bag.![]()
Try using the quick mask tool instead of the polygon lasso. Much better for something like that. Less tedious too.

Gotta disagree with a couple of comments. The PP 'treatment' can't put detail back into a blown-out sky... and I'm not keen on the monochrome shade of blue, or the slanted horizon...
I like this one a lot. The boy's position is perfect!
I don't mind the kid being in the middle... or the selective colouring. It's a sad pic: the flip-side to all those pix of kids having fun. It makes me want to give the poor little mite a hug, and ask him what's troubling him...
