Took a walk through the St. Louis Art Museum today, and didn't come up with much. Here's the best one (relatively) of the day. I'm trying to convey a sense of serenity that a museum can bring. I'm pretty new to photography, so C&C is appreciated!
Canon T3, 18-55 IS (kit) at 18mm, f/3.5 at 1/40, ISO 125
So this was taken using a 50mm prime, it's 92 photos in totals and equates to a 82 Mega Pixel shot IIRC It took 1 1/2 hours for photoshop to auto stitch it together. Not a chance in hell I was doing this manually.
A very nice portrait that captures a good sense of personality. The light on him is quite good; did you use your "new" 580 EX II? It's a pity that bright lamp has to be in the frame, but I don't see any easy way of removing it from the image. I really like the soft blue of the sky out the window and the way it echoes the blues in the upholstery of the couch--the cool hues really set off the warm ones here.

It definitely captures a good sense of place. What puzzles me is how you could take 92 photos that all seem to capture the same moment in time: how did you manage that?
With fire season in full force in my neck of the woods, this picture of a fence post remnant in a grove of trees that were all burnt from a fire several years ago, should hopefully serve as a reminder of the recuperative powers of Mother Nature:
