Ahh, I've been missing your pictures of Slovenia. Another beautiful shot.

Welcome back. I am sure I am not understating the fact that I, like so many, are awaiting more magic to come. No pressure..:)

Thanks to you both. I can't tell you how good it feels to be out shooting again. :)

I never thought I capture a bird, but the temptation with this scene not far from me and a 70-200mm + tripod ready was too much :). The bird flew away when I set up my gear, but fortunately came back for more banana taste.

Nice catch. I like how the little bit of banana in his mouth tells the story. Nice light too.

This old gas station on the outskirts of Virginia Ciyy (Montana), has obviously seen some better days. I decided to run it through Silver Efex Pro.

Boy, has that perspective ever changed since I was growing up in the city...Used to play down under the bridge where that green space is now...Great shot though...:)

Yeah , remember visiting relatives on Clark St. and going down to around where the Brooklyn Bridge Park is , maybe in the late 50's , last trip there was in the late 60's until a few years ago . What a change , different skyline , waterfront , neighborhood .... the whole package . Not a lot has changed around where I spent my first years ( around Pelham Bay Park) though .

Cartmel Priory...

Beautiful wood carvings, and the diffused light accentuates them perfectly. I especially like the worn bits around the pulpit: lots of character.

I agree, rich and lots of character in it's simplicity. Out of curiosity, where do you take your meter readings for this type of picture? Or do you take a shot, check the histogram and adjust from there. I sometimes struggle with getting the exposure in these differing light scenarios.

Thanks... The carved choir stalls are 15th century. Not much science about my meter readings: made a guess, took a shot, readjusted, then took a shot on my chosen shutter speed... and two shots either side. So I had five versions to pick from. Kept 1, deleted 4...

OK, then I'm not crazy or inept!!:) thanks!!
