My son on his horse. Composition was obviously terrible. We need to get out more, most of my shots are him in and around the house.

Day to Night - Framed

Beginning to start a frame project, this was just a test, I don't like the result, hopefully going to the nearby motorway tomorrow to shoot up there, should look much more dramatic than this...

As a side note, this is my first shot with my 60d, good stuff.

Although not original, I like the concept. However, I would much prefer it if you didn't do it digitally, and actually held a real print in position? I realise it's a lot more work, but I think it would look better.

Cost more than anything prohibits me from trying the print suggestion, I agree it would look much better though, might have to give it a try, this is one of many things I want to try with the frame.

As a side note (and this is nothing personal), it really bugs me when people like to point out something is unoriginal. EVERYTHING is unoriginal. I didn't claim to be the first person to ever do this, I'd already said I'd seen someone else do this on my flickr, I just thought their implementation of it was crappy and I wanted to give it a shot.

While out running this morning I've seen the sunrise shining through this tree several times. Today I finally stopped and took a picture of it with my iPhone.

Wow... that brings back some memories... what's the story behind this? When? Where?

This was a 80's themed halloween party I got hired to shoot at the emerald ballroom in Mt Clemens, MI. The Band they had playing was these guys a cover band for kiss, and they really did sounds just like KISS. It's funny that jgonzo said 73' cause thats the year this band started and has been playing together ever since.

That makes sense that this is a cover band... but they are good, as I assumed that this was an early photo of the actual band as jgonzo thought... the costumes, hair, and even guitars are bang on for early KISS. Anyway, it's great when a photo can spark memories and discussion like this. Good stuff! :)

Here's another from my Cannon Beach, Oregon series...

Since there have been several beautiful autumn pictures with foliage color changes, I thought I would share my Big Sky autumn with all of you. Took this earlier today. We have had a series of "snow showers" this past week and we are about to get hit with a snow storm this weekend. When I took these it was beginning to flurry.

Now that the NorthWest is in an early gloom of Winter, here is a shot of frivolous play at PLU on October. A quick fall gave the trees an odd color this year.
