Welcome to POTD. This is a nice photo. good color and framing in a difficult lighting situation. I'm afraid I would need a bunch of bodyguards to shoot something like this. It may be quite safe, but looks scary.

Depends on whether you consider zero to be a number or not... I just finished reading Perfect Storm, so this photo doesn't make me happy.

This Granite Monolith rises 700m (2300ft) above Howe Sound near Squamish, BC, and is a popular rock climbing destination.
Another really great landscape. I like the mood of the clouds, but I would like to see more detail in the rock face with fill light or whatever.

Nice shots from all.

Another from our visit to Canepa Design. This car won its class at the Pebble Beach Concours in 2009.

Observing the Pro

I was looking back through my iPhoto library and saw this one. I took it a little over a year ago with my old point-and-shoot before I had any clue was I was doing (not that i really know now by any stretch of the imagination). I just thought it was kind of cool to get the photographer from a different angle.

Took a day trip out to the Yuengling Brewery and up to Centralia (while it's still there at least) and got a series of interesting shots around there. I'll post more soon, got some HDR's to add to the surrealism of the damaged rt 61 in the town.

But for now, some Silent Hill-esque church going-on's.

Wow, you're making me homesick now. I've ridden that ferry more times than I care to mention...
Great photo btw, amazing colours!

Sorry! Thanks. As you know, there's nothing like the sunsets you get here in the fall (if you actually get to witness one between rain storms!).

Here's the opposite perspective of the picture posted in post #178... this one taken from the top of the Stawamus Chief on a much less pleasant day. The previous photo was taken near the warehouses down by the water.

Aftermath...

Mud removal... this guy and his power washer were kept busy hosing down bikes after they had been raced in peanut butter thick mud...
