In 1668 “the first horse race in America took place” (that’s assuming, of course, that no Native Americans had ever wondered whose horse might be the quickest). And this house was built in Cumbria, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake...

Took a day trip out to the Yuengling Brewery and up to Centralia (while it's still there at least) and got a series of interesting shots around there. I'll post more soon, got some HDR's to add to the surrealism of the damaged rt 61 in the town.

But for now, some Silent Hill-esque church going-on's.

That church is very cool, here's my interpretation of it:

Old mine (Grube Günnersdorf) at Mechernich, Germany. Up to 5000 people worked here during the last century and searched for galena (lead ore). The mine was closed in 1957 and re-opened for visitors in 1995.

Bison b.c.

One of my favourite Canadian metal bands, Bison b.c. They sound as heavy as their name suggests, hah. The photo is a little blurry, but it was hard to shoot at a high enough shutter speed to stop motion and expose it correctly. I like this photo because it kind of captures the insanity.
