I'm still getting the golden one. I've never owned anything made of gold before. Gonna be a perfect gift for my 16th birthday in September.

Sooooo, you joined a tech rumors forum when you were 8???????????

This is becoming more of a problem as I intend to pre-order from the Apple site but now I don't know which color to get (presuming rumors are true) as I won't be able to see them in the flesh before buying!!

Decisions, decisions!

Yeah, but after its announced and before pre-orders go live, you will have some time to look at nice hi-res photos that should make ur decision easier. Im kinda liking the graphite as of right now.

I love the look of these new iPhones but I'm worried that all they shown so far is new colors and the fingerprint sensor. Is that really all there's going to be? Everything else seems like just the normal state of upgrades. Better processors and better cameras. I'm looking for something at least makes me want to buy a new phone and the fingerprint sensor isn't it. Also, why no leaks of new sizes? I don't think it is wise for Apple to deny that a certain segment of people want larger phones, just like they acknowledged the need for the smaller iPad.

Nothing I have seen so far makes me want to buy a new phone or iPad and I have bought the most expensive version of every non-computer device they have offered since the iPhone 1.

You already know Apple are working on entirely new hardware while they release such iteration devices. Who wants rushed hardware anyway. Goes to show it takes more than the 12 month window which the ordinary consumer sees, but it takes a lot more than that to develop, prototype, test and put to market new hardware that just works!

Besides they're in the business of making money and not just to spend a fortune to woo less than 20% of their customer base.

What made you get a 4S compared to a 4? Seems like the 5S will be a bigger upgrade over the 5 than the 4S was to the 4.

For the 4S it was Siri, plus the speed upgrade came at a time when some games were still struggling to look decent on the 4. Similarly, the camera was a massive upgrade over the previous cameras and I frequently looked at pics I took with the phone and wanted them to be better quality.

Now, I don't really have those problems, I can't think of the last time I said, "damn this phone is slow", the camera is already quite good (except in low light) the video is full HD with stabilization now.

I almost skipped the 5, but the LTE was a big deal. Except for the panoramic photos, I don't think it had any exclusive software the wouldn't run on the 4S.

I will say, maybe they will show bigger screens and that will be enough to get me there, but since there have been no hardware leaks associated with that it seems very unlikely at this time. (Course I know not everyone wants the bigger screen, but I think I would prefer it, I don't do much 1 thumb typing anymore). :)

Looks good, just wish it had a larger screen. Betting the camera is going to be the biggest upgrade.

If the fingerprint sensor is present on the 5S, then you will lose the bet.

If you don't care about the fingerprint sensor, then you will win, but not from me, because I think a new feature trumps an improved one. If you make this bet, be sure to set the terms ahead of time. The person you are wagering with may consider new colors on the shell to be a bigger update than a silly old insignificant camera.

Damn you Apple!!!!

I'd pretty well decided that I was going to get the 5C off-contract and wait for the iPhone 6 with the larger screen.

But seeing this graphite option is making me reconsider. It's the exact color option I'd wished was available for the iPhone 5.

Now I wonder if I should pull the trigger on this when it comes out, or wait for the bigger 6 next year. If the bigger iPhone 6 were to come to fruition, I'm thinking that iPhone 5S values would take a big hit.

Am I the only one who finds the champaign-colored one a little too much on the bling side? That thing just screams 'kitsch' to me, I can't believe Jony Ive could stomach that.

You aren't the only one. I think wedding rings and class rings are too flashy.

But I don't get to decide for everyone, so as long as they don't make me buy or wear one, I won't complain if others do.

And remember, there are those who think an iPhone is nothing more than bling. But don't let them influence you if you like it.

Now that there are 4 color options for the 5S, is it certain that the, "C" in, "5C" is for color?

(Please don't respond with, "graphite and champagne aren't colors" because they are. Ex. Color options for automobiles)

Borrrriinnngg. This coming from a die hard Apple fan (see my signature for owned devices). All of the competition with bigger screens and more interesting things that can be done on a touchscreen, this is all Apple can come up with in 12 months? Gold and graphite color options and a fingerprint scanner.

They can make all of their problems go away by just releasing a 5" iPhone alongside the current 4" model. They have at least two screen sizes for every major device they sell except the iPhone. Stop worrying about developers so much. Make the 5" 1920x1080 and when they sell a million phones on the first night, developers will adjust.:apple:

I find the 5S to be the boring monochromatic model. I find myself liking the 5C with its colorful casing. Yes, it's plastic, but it just seems livelier and more playful.

Apple will sell A LOT MORE than one million the first night without a screen change .

And I don't know about you but I enjoy using\having a phone with one hand (Cause you know, I have an iPad mini). If I need a bigger screen, let me grab that. A 1920x1080 resolution deserves a 7+ inch screen. I don't want to stare at my phone to watch a movie in HD. I'd much rather do that on a bigger tablet or TV for that matter.

seems good, but still, the black iphone is the best iphone color available, but that doesnt mean i wont be trying this, i will buy this one also:D

Yup. It's just you. Those with working eyeballs find it understated & elegant. Also, those of us under the age of 70, would NEVER use the word bling, lol... stuck in 1997 much??
