the problem here is always the same one:
People are waiting for miracles made by Apple. Things like paper thin phones or holographics...
. But also Apple can not revolutionise physics and materials to be used in phones.
If this is the new iPhone it will be again a huge step. Just look how thin this baby is going to be. I like it a lot and for me its a good step forward.
And there is room for more like some people said here: Inductive Charging,....
By the way: look at the Samsung Galaxy S, SII and SIII. Samsung also did not come up with radical new designs all the time.

What I agree is that Apple should think about offering different iPhones in order to compete against other smart phone makers.
