Did you get your confirmation email yet? That will tell you the actual date, which for most has been first week of September.

It's a case. The wait is pathetic
you do know apple has to fill 3 million+ cases there hardly any cases in stores to as i said its just a case dont get all worked up about it just be lucky you guys are getting it for free.
After watching the YouTube reviews, I might actually keep it. The PixelSkin HD looks like a bumper with a tiled backside. No imitations of the power button and volume control like the bumper, but easier to access the vibrate switch. It is easy to install, but provides enough protection for that shatter-prone rear glass. The back is shiny and will probably attract lint, but who cares? I can lay it on the table without any real worries. As long as it isn't one of those hard clear shells that scratches easily and hard to separate. This is starting to look like a real keeper!

I did notice that. I have no reception problems. Yet. Who's to say how it will behave when I'm in an area with poor signal? I've not had a chance to try that yet. And who knows will future updates may do? I doubt they would make things worse of course, but you never know. So I ordered one.

I got a Case-Mate Barely There at BB to hold me over till then. It makes me feel much better having on on the phone, knowing I can put the thing down and not worry about scratching it. No drop protection to speak of so I just have to be careful.

Currently using a feather as well so the wait doesn't bother me. Just got my confirmation 10 hours later.. I should have the HD by Sept 23.

Just ordered mine an hour ago. Don't know when it's shipping. So the solution to the reception problem is a case and I have to wait 2 months for a case. That's crazy!

Finally got my order in for the PixelSkin HD after trying pretty much all day and night with zero help from Apple Care on the issue. Thank god I found some other people on the Apple forums with the same issue, and some figured out a fix.
Says it will ship in 8-10 weeks. Utterly ridiculous for a case that is meant to fix a problem.

I chose this case this morning. I'm glad I did. It looks like a great case. Mine says it will ship by Sept 3, should be received by Sept 8. Yeah, it's a long wait. However, I've got my free White Bumper and the cheap $4.00 TPU case I ordered off of eBay. I'm actually using it over the Bumper, since it offers protection for the sides and back of the iPhone 4.
I was hoping for an updated version of the Speck Candyshell, but a Pixelskin HD is a good alternative. It's definitely the best case being offered right now in the free program.
Having said that, I can't wait 5-8 weeks. I'll be buying an Otterbox as soon as the reviews start trickling in (assuming they are all good)

10 weeks? LOL! That's almost 3 months.. I thought these free cases would hurt 3rd party case makers but I don't see people waiting 2 - 3 months to put a case on their phone. They'll probably buy one now and use the free one as an extra/backup.
Exactly, it's totally insane. I'm going to buy one of the Sliders once they're released, either that or the updated CandyShell. Apple can't seem to do anything right lately, and it's more than annoying.
I will probably just sell off the free case, or maybe give in to the intense urge to burn it.
