If you are bothered this much by the reception problem to not buy a 30 dollar case on your own to fix it then 1.) you should return the phone, or 2.) Aren't bothered enough by it to warrant buying a case. So either way, enjoy the phone and wait out your cool new case. Apple isn't maunfacturing this case. Speck is making the product for apple, and they got a 5 day notice. Apple didn't make their entire stock of Iphone 4 in 2 weeks (case in point white iphone), so don't expect Speck to.

Some of you guys are ridiculous.

I fondled one of these today in NYC. (they have them in stock at Tekserve if anyone is curious, and they have a demo piece to check out).

Compared to my (awesome) Incipio NGP, (which has just been redesigned with a pill shaped camera cutout and a more refined finish) the Pixelskin HD is:

1. Mushier. The NGP is nice and rigid, with just enough flex to get it on the phone. The PxHD feels more like a stiffer silicone, even though it's not silicone. This is probably why the fit doesn't feel as snug as the NGP.

2. Not as black. It's more of a charcoal. But not a deep charcoal, kind of a washed out black. Compared to the NGP, the PxHD looks kinda faded.

3. Not as nicely finished. The first run of NGPs were a bit rough around the edges, but the newer batch is smoother with less rough edges and and shiny spots. The PxHD had a thin sharp injection molding seam all around it.

Two nice things about the PxHD are that it's a tad thinner than the NGP, and the "pixel" back is quite nice looking.
