To those of you getting phones today, congrats. To those of us still sitting in China, hopefully we see movement soon. So far my phone still isn’t moving. Great job Apple, not your finest hour!

I know regardless I’ll get it either tomorrow or Wednesday and I’m being a big baby but it’s so close I can taste it. I want to be able to focus on literally anything else. Like you know, playing with my phone 😑

At about 10:20PM EST I kept refreshing & I was able to quickly purchase a phone for pickup later tonight; it was demanding work! Once I've confirmed it's in my hand, then I'll cancel my 10/18- 10/20 pre-order. The best wishes to you all in acquiring your phones.

My phone has now changed status with UPS to "On the Way", latest status is "departed from Facility" 10/5 4:55 PM ZhengZhou, China. UPS says 10/6 delivery. How do I track the plane flights that I see everyone doing here?

I am willing to give apple a LOT of slack, the whole nonsense with the phone scanning was a real kick in the pants, but again - I like their devices and I knew I wasn't going to change. But these are premium, PREMIUM devices that we pay a ton of money for, and they too often sit in limbo because Apple hasn't gone through the necessary steps to ensure the process is smooth and seamless, which is what's happened here.

I've never had a pre order fiasco anything to the likes of this before. This is an area I won't give Apple leeway in, they should have been more prepared. Simple as that.

Agree to disagree. None of this is new and I’m not sure what apples market cap has to do with their ability to influence customs. Any other company would have the same experience and nevermind the impact that COVID has had on all this.

Every year this is the process. And every year I’ve gotten my phone before Apple initially promised it. And I’m grateful for the ability to even buy it in the first place.

The flight from Korea is UPS 99. Your phone will go from China to Korea to Anchorage to Louisville. The pallets are broken down in Louisville and then distributed. This likely will all happen overnight tonight and you’ll get your phone tomorrow.
 
Ahhhh, my flight out of Louisville landed an hour late. I’ve now got the dreaded ‘check back tomorrow’ status.

Looks like today is probably out…one more day of waiting; first world problem I know :)

My last flight from Kentucky to Newark, NJ was delayed now it’s saying check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date although the app is also showing the tracking number as delivery 10/5 3pm-5pm. Tracking shows it left Newark 40 mins ago, fingers crossed for today.
 
Looks like today should be the day. One day earlier than originally billed. I’ll take it despite the frustration of the process this year. Hopefully all you still waiting see movement soon. Once it leaves China, it’s really about 24 hrs.

I get the sinking feeling today ain’t gonna happen still.

I’m in the same exact boat. We’re at 8 days in customs despite several with phones entering later having already received them

You are right so far! I just saw an update, arrived at Incheon Korea Oct 5 7:36 PM!

Mine has finally left China after sitting around since 9/30, and on it's way to Alaska. Expected delivery is this Thursday.

Congrats, I am glad to see you are finally getting some movement. I just checked mine again and it hasn't moved and now UPS has changed the expected date to "Check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date." I will surprised if it is here by the end of the week.

I just looked at my orders on Apple and noticed it says "Arrives on multiple dates." Has anyone ever seen this before. Maybe Apple has decided to ship me the parts and instructions to build my own phone.

Are they just using one airplane to ship from zz right now ? These delays make no sense

Yes, my orders home page says "Arrive on multiple days," but when I enter the order, it says Arrives October 8. UPS say arriving October 6 tho.

Yeah, I saw my detail and it says 11th while UPS says to check back tomorrow. I think I will be surprised if I see any movement tomorrow. I don't understand how our phones can just sit there for several days before they start heading this way. If they can assemble them so early then what is the reason for not shipping them? If Apple does not want them to ship out early then why build them early? Makes no senes to me.
