This will be my first plus model and I'm excited but apparently I'm one of the few who types two handed. Have for years. So if one-handedness is the only issue I'm golden!

I had the 6 and 6s plus. I went back to the 4.7 in June and I regret it. Once you go phablet, you can't go back.

The 4.7 still seems too small to me even after 3 months of owning it. I don't type with one hand anyway so on handed typing isn't an issue for me.

When the + was first released I thought there was no way I would like it...well I was wrong, had it for almost 2 years and can't imagine going back to a smaller phone. It's cumbersome to type/hold with one hand but I don't even think about it now. It's pocketable and I work out every day with it...occasionally I feel it sloshing around in my pocket if I am jumping or something. I don't have an iPad anymore though..I stream alot to it.

I got used to the size but never liked it. Honestly, was a little too large for day-to-day carry.

I wrote this is another comment, but with all the little behavior modifications I had to do (taking out of pockets while sitting down, two hands to type, etc) I found myself fitting my life around my phone as opposed to my phone fitting into my life.

This exactly sums up my worry about the Plus. When I'm at the store, the size seems fantastic. I have large hands but imperfect eyesight, so I find myself really wanting the large screen. But I worry very much about the skinny jeans thing and about always having to deal with the phone, rather than having it simply there when I need it.

I use it primarily as a phablet which it is. If that is not one's objective then pass on it and get the smaller iPhone.

When using it as a mini computer like I do, I would not want a smaller size than the Plus especially with my vision. And the better specs make the extra money worth it besides.

The size of the bezels are what they are and I can deal with it.

Apparently, Apple can't (or won't) build a phone without a huge annoying bezel.
I hate big phones. The perfect size for me in terms of width was the first iPhone.
Unfortunately, they also made the #1 item on my wish list only available on the huge, one-hand unfriendly plus size phone.

My questions is for anybody that used the 6/6S+ for the last year or 2. Did you get used to it? Would you replace it with the standard size? How many plus users switched to standard size later on?

Would thank any input.
I've had the 6+ for 2 years. My take:
  • Great when your using it for email, web, apps. Larger screen real estate is nice for these.
  • Not so great when using as a phone (i.e. Up to your ear). Feels a bit like talking to a tablet.
  • Not so great for carrying around in your pocket...especially tighter jeans or running shorts with pockets.
For what it's worth, I'm moving down to a smaller size next time around. No way I'd get another plus size in its current incarnation and I've got very large hands (i.e. XL gloves, can palm a basketball, etc...)

I downsized to the 7. I'll miss the plus at times, particularly if Apple overstated the +2 hours battery life for the 7. But I also know that I'll be upgrading next year and, if they reduce the bezels (PLEASE), I'll just switch back.

I also have 2 iPads that I can use when I crave a larger, more immersive screen experience, however.

Can't imagine about using other iPhones after using iPhone 6s Plus, perfect size for my hands although i am trying 4.7 inch iPhone 7 this year

I had a 6+ and just recently upgraded to the 6s. Although I enjoyed the bigger size it kind of was a hassle more often than not. In fact I didn't use a case on the 6+ because it just became too much bulk. The 6s size to me is just about perfect and throw on the Apple silicone case and it is perfect ha. The only thing I miss about the 6+ is the better battery life.

Honestly if the 7 had a 1080p screen I would go with it. I like my 6 plus but the phone is huge. Might end up going with it anyways but who knows I have until March to decide

Right, Plus owners are simply putting up with the unwieldiness in favor of the bigger screen and certain better features.

This is really the best post. It is a giant phone and you have to choose what is more important....size or features. With the plus you get a bigger better screen, better battery, better camera, better speced phone.

I also think it is important to know if you have an iPad or not and how you use your phone. I use my phone for texting, banking, email, and Facebook. All of those are fine with a small screen. I also think it is easier to use as a camera. I have an iPad that I use for Media consumption and fantasy football.

Or they have hands like me where the phone is far from unwieldy and the screen/better features are added perks.

I think I'll take this approach as well, and Apple rarely overstates battery life. Seven for now, Plus next year if they manage to chop down the length. If they can reduce the length by the equivalent of at least one of the Plus's bezels, I have a feeling that model will become hugely popular.

I think it's a great size. I'll never go back to that little Barbi phone.

Had the 6+, then the 6S+, and waiting on my 7+ if the dang thing ever changes from "Processing."

For a few days with the first one, it felt unwieldy because I wasn't used to it. Now, the smaller phone feels like a toy that I need a magnifying glass to use. And I have small hands - from wrist to tip of middle finger is 6.25 inches. :)

I've had the plus for two years and I'm downsizing to the 7. I type two handed as well and don't really understand why everyone complains the plus is difficult to use one handed. If you have two hands, then use them, ya? Anyways, my wife has a 6 and I hate her screen compared to mine, but I can't move with my plus in my pocket. Climbing stairs, sitting in my car, going hiking or for a run, the plus is just too bulky for an active person.

I'm hoping next year they'll release a 5.1" screen with no bezels so I can get the best of both worlds.

(I'm 6'2" with medium sized hands. The phone feels totally fine in my hands when I'm using it and I love the large screen, but I hate how big it is in my pocket and it's probably in there more often than it is in my hand.)

Can't comment on the 7+ specifically but I have a Galaxy S7 Edge right now which is 5.5", and I had a Moto X 2015 before that which was 5.7". It didn't take me any time to get used to it really and I have had no issues with usability. At this point there's no way I could go back to a smaller phone.

for me, and prob for any other human being with delicate and not apeish hands, the plus is far too big.

another member used the word 'comical' earlier, and that may be the perfect word to describe the size of the Plus range.

Apple is doing a poor job with the screen to size ratio on the Plus.

iPhone 7 256gb Jet Black for me.

I like the size of my 6, but I'm bored with it. So I ordered a 7+. I have small hands and although I typically use both hands to type, there are certain situations where I hold or use the phone with one hand. I'm hoping to decrease the potential size difference discomfort by using the 7+ with no case.

I've had the 6+ for 2 years and I'm going back to the regular size. I almost never put the plus in my pocket because its too uncomfortable esspecially when I'm sitting.

Don't do it. It's terrible for daily use. It's too big for your pocket, impossible to use one handed and really ugly. Don't order it. Order anything else.............

At least wait until I get mine... :)

They will next year... they haven't changed the design since they made a 5.5 inch screen!

I too jumped back down to a 4.7 this year. Mostly because the camera benefits don't justify the extra costs yet... next year hopefully they'll reduce the footprint by 30% and the phone will be great!
