Actually, I forgot about another soda I occasionally enjoy - Boylans. They use cane sugar as opposed to high fructose corn syrup, and use no artificial colorings or flavorings. Good stuff.

Mmmm. Black Cherry. :D

Oooh.

The coffee shop I worked in last summer sold those....mmmm.

A Black Cherry Boylan's soda at the end of a long, hot summer day really did the trick.

You're right, coke from McDonalds is the best. They have the mixture down just right.

...or maybe we are going to the same McDonalds. :p
There's always that one thing that can makes you wonder whether something was really that good...

But I just order my McDonald's coke ice-free now. :)

i picked coke, but only mexican coke--real sugar instead of corn syrup.
i also <3 coca-cola black.
just wish both of those came in plastic rather than glass, though at least black has a screw top.

Where is the option for neither? I don't like putting either sugar-loaded chemical-laced concoction in my body.

Might as well start a poll asking whether people like to drink Arsenic or Strychnine... :p

I agree 100% with you ~Shard~. I don't like the taste, and why would you want to eat such gross crap.

Uh-Oh, now you two have done it. Let the debates begin!

The same reason people eat MacDonald's on a regular basis, I guess, they must like feeding their bodies crap and don't think much about their health. Might as well eat a bag of sugar! :p ;)

We ingest so many chemicals, preservatives, toxins, etc. as it is without having a choice - why would anyone want to compound that by willingly feeding their body even more crap?

Cutting out garbage like McD's, pop, chips and other sugar-laced, chemical-packed junk several years ago was one of the best things I ever did in my life - and I have never been healthier or felt better since.

With sugar: Coke! Nothing in this world tastes as good as a fresh Coca Cola from a 0.33 cl glass bottle. Mmm... Coca Cola... aaaah...</Homer Simpson>

Without sugar it's more of a tie between Pepsi Max and Diet Coke (Coca Cola Light as it's called here), but since my girlfriend prefers Pepsi Max, I more or less have to stick with that... ;)

I NEVER eat McDonalds, I cannot stand that place. The food is salty, greasy, fatty, and doesn't even taste good. On top of that the building is gross, the people that work there are typically gross, and they never get an order right.

I would much rather just make a sandwhich at home and bring it with me than have to stop at such a dirty place such as McDonalds. Seriously, after I eat at McDonalds I feel sick to my stomach.

I mean really ~Shard~, I guess if you like the food thats fine, its only poisoning your body, but ehh, who cares. Its not like you don't need it.

I can basically stomach anything, but I don't usually eat at McDonalds unless I have to, I don't like that place at all.

Coke:
My grandpa used to work for coke
They have the cooler mascot (Polar bear)
Vanilla Coke was better than Vanilla Pepsi
Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is awesome

I hate hate hate hate pepsi! Its so cheap looking, while coke has a rich look to it.
But taste wise? hmm.. I still have to say coke but only in a nice tall glass with ice. Other than that I'm not much of a cola fan. I like ginger ale and orangia, and I drink that rarely too

Coke wins hands down.

The "burn" you get in the back of your throat from that first sip of an ice cold Coke may be the greatest achievement of mankind.

PS: Try "really classic" Coke made with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup if you can find it. In the U.S., it's available during Passover in 2-liter bottles with yellow caps and "sucrose" listed in the ingredients instead of hfcs. It's even better.

ooh....awesome! is it in the "jewish foods" section or the regular soda aisle?
that's teh only attraction of mexican coke, and it's pretty expensive, so it'd be nice if it were available cheaper.

While I agree with the larger point of your post, it has long bugged me what a bad name sugar gets.

What the hell is wrong with sugar? Bees like it. So do ants. So do I.

More to point, people seem to avoid sugar like the plague, while scrambling over sugar-substitutes like Sweet n' Low, Equal, and most recently, Splenda. What is the deal with that?

Now too much sugar can be bad, I'm sure - but is pharmaceutically-designed sugar substitute going to be better for you? I'd put my money on no.

Sorry, I had to vent - and related to the OT, what is the draw of "Diet" Soda anyways? It seems like the best marketing scheme of all time.
