I "switched" in 2004. My first mac was a Mac Mini which was followed very quickly by a second-hand Power Mac G5.

The Mac line up now is per signature, only now there are two MacBooks in the house. (not one for each hand ... :rolleyes: ... one belongs to my wife)
 
Bought my iBook G3 back in 2003 when I first started college, and it is still in use by my girlfriend since I upgraded to a macbook.
