My Octavo sleep button is not centered either but the right edge is basically at the edge of the button. So while I think Portenzo could have moved it over by about 0.25", I think if it were centered it might leave a gap in the wood too close to a corner and so maybe the integrity would be compromised? Not sure as I am not a carpenter. But for both Pad & Quill and Portenzo to be uncentered seems bizarre unless there was a good reason. Or maybe they use the same vendor and machine cut outs for these plywood pieces.
Case looks nice though. Congrats!
good point... maybe since both are using birch plywood.. it would of left the corner weaker.. never thought of that..

btw.. the treegloo does not look like a tv tray once the ipad is in there.. we could say the same for the portenzo and p&q.. w/o an ipad in there they are basicaly plywood.. i got a plywood work top thats looks the same..
this doesnt look like a tv tray to me.. looks actually pretty slick..
