JUST Received a third email my order is ok, hopefully if they can build it by Wednesday, I will have a case to use by friday.........

I debated getting a Morocco case during the pre-order period, but I'm not that patient and completely indecisive. Also considered Composition, but ended up going with the Old School. Figured they'd have a bunch of that material on hand.
The main thing to consider is if you will be content with a different model, sure they ship quicker but if you settle on something you're not too keen on and then regret it, it might be worse than waiting a few weeks/months for morocco
I couldn't agree more, the number of options is a bit overwhelming. Everybody wants a one of a kind piece, but the consumer changes their mind so often! And we have so much time to do just that...
I think I'm going to email them again, and see if they got my changes and when Ill be getting the case Lol. Everybody is doing it

This exactly, if there wasn't so much time between ordering and shipping, which I know they are a small operation, but still, that would mitigate the factor of customers changing their mind on options, or a different case itself.
yah i totally understand if its different material.. but cmon.. preorders have priority in my eyes.. i emailed on 3/28 about changing to levant.. no reponse.. so now here it is 4/4 and i emailed again and put on fb.. no response.. geez..
Seems like they email you/get back to any you sent them, once they are ready to build/ship your case. So yours most likely isn't even up for build yet, hang in there, you must be soon.
if they would of been watching emails my order should of been changed already to levant.. really disappointing that some customers getting theirs already when preorders still haven't shipped.. i think they should of ordered more morocco material before having it as an option to preorder on..
Decided to keep my order for the 23 1/2 even though I have my custom treegloo coming in this week as well. They responded to my email finally meaning that it's probably in production. If I like it as much as the other case I'll just keep both, but if not I'll probably post it here to anyone looking for a 23 1/2 and does not want to wait.
They literally JUST updated my order on shop.portenzo.com today I guess before they got to building my case, I agree all preorders should be handled before any others are, regardless if materials for composition or old school are in high supply.
Your portenzo account order status also likely will update closer to your build date I hope
That's good news mine is presumably building too, I hope this means they're working on all outstanding orders this week. All in all I've been waiting since march 18th, the week before shipping was to start, and given I changed case and updated options, if my case arrives by weeks end, it was only about a 2-3 week wait as advertised.
My order status on their site is officially over a month now without any type of update from them. I have been patient, and will continue to wait. But I would love to at least get some type of estimate on delivery. My order number was 3869 with an order date of 3/3. It had to be one of the first one's for the Ipad 2.

your order should of been priority #1.. anyone who preordered that early should of got some notice or something.. lets hope for the best
It's is ridiculous that people who ordered last week are already having their orders fulfilled, they need to reevaluate how their processes work once things die down and they have some free time.
This is just going to infuriate more people.....
I understand their situation, and based on there reputation I would guess this has been really hard on the portenzo staff.
One of my favorite hobbies is ordering something and tracking rumors and shipping notifications in anticipation of getting it. Unfortunately, this one has moved past the entertainment phase and into disappointment. I think their biggest mistake was setting expectations with shipping times.
Another lost customer
So I purchased a Targus to hold me over because the Portenzo was taking too long. Returned it hoping the Portenzo situation would get better, but unfortunately it doesn't look that way. I did get a response from Portenzo, but it took more than a couple of days and my latest query has gone unanswered for over two days now. I know they are busy, but I think a day or two isn't unreasonable to expect, especially with the better response from their competitors.
I am sure the Portenzo is gonna be great, but I definitely consider customer service an important factor. The Pad&Quill folks did respond to my communication, but I was more amazed at the (under 6 hour) response from the Treegloo folks on their facebook page. I am very impressed with their product based on the pictures and details and it is very customizable and affordable.
It's hard to pick a product I can't hold in my hands and scrutinize beforehand, so we have to go on other people's testimony, pictures, reviews, and customer service. I will be going with Treegloo. Best of luck to everyone in their journeys!

ok they responded to my post on FB.. saying if i switched to levant it would ship in 3days.. so hopefully they get that done and its shipped on thursday
Very interesting, I also ordered a Morocco, black interior, camera hole, mag enclosure with strap. I was order #5128, ordered on 3/15 and I haven't received an estimated shipping date yet, grrrr.
I think the Portenzo is great but I decided to cancel my order and reward those who are doing a better overall job - P&Q's Octavo. I may order a Portenzo down the line but for now I think my money is better spent in a more effective direction. I look forward to seeing everyone's review when they receive them.

All 23.5's ordered before 4/1 will ship before 4/11
Morocco orders will start daily shipping again on the 12th
All Morocco orders placed before 3/25 will ship before 4/25.
All new/recent orders should fall within their stated estimated shipping times.

The difference between morocco and levant is marginal at best.
my order was right before yours then on 3/15 mine is #5123 so i am switching to levant.. im tired of waiting.. i wonder where they get morocco from cause unless its trucked in shouldnt it be easy to restock in a week? ground from anywhere in lower 48s is 5 days..
