Loooks like Portenzo might actually be getting back on track. I saw on there FB page and here of course that more than a few people have recieved shipping notifications and Darin has been taking a few minutes at the end of the day to respond to a few people. I am sure that the growing pains have been great and the response he recieved when the I-2 came out was unexpected compared to previous sales. At least that is the way it appears since I would assume it has been challenging to get people that are capable of the quality that Apple people have come to expect:D.

I will give Darin and his team another couple weeks before I make my request for a Custom Case. He will have to be caught up so that he has the time to devote to the art work that I want on my case:eek: Everyone that has gotten their shipping info currently, could you please post up some pics and a short review of how you feel about the quality when you get it.

From what I have read about people that have gotten their cases already I am sure it will have been worth the wait. It is good to see also ( read on the FB page ) that they have not thrown quality control to the wind just to push out more cases faster. I saw that Darin responded to another FB member that his order would have shipped already, but due to a flaw found in one of his cases ( he ordered 2 ) they will be remaking the other case today and getting it shipped out to him.

Go Portenzo!!!! And never sacrafice quality for the sake of speeding up production.;)

I signed up for Facebook because they weren't responding to e-mails. As much as they ask people not to request status updates on Facebook, they are communicating on there more than anywhere else.

More eyes there than on your email...

Looks like there's been a bunch of FB updates and they've gone on a Shipping Event to get caught up.

This could get painful but I could be "that guy" that orders a few cases.

I want to check out a Portenzo first hand...maybe Grove as well.

I ordered on 3/25, Morocco, order 67XX. Noticed my card was charged late last week, so I emailed and got a response within a couple of hours this morning that it would be shipped "soon".

I'm a little disappointed about the delay but I was satisfied with the turn time in the email. This case sounds like it's worth waiting for.

Got a response by Darin on the hold up on my case... It seems that the costume interior might take a little bit of time. I will keep waiting more patiently now. :rolleyes:
 
I guess I won't have to jump ship after all. Finally got a shipping notice this morning!

Communication on their FB page is still spotty, but at least there are some updates being posted. I understand everyones frustration but it seems to me that for every update or response he gives there, there are 5 more people asking for updates. Heck I even saw one guy that just ordered last week asking for an update.
I understand eveyone wanting an update, but it is not as simple as some would have others believe. I mean heck, you cannot just have a temp answering e-mails about a product they know nothing about. And if Darin slows down to answer every e-mail it could be a year before he sees daylight again. The other downside to a temp is that they will be stopping him from working to answer questions and if has to stop to answer those questions he may as well do it himself and just not produce cases.
Like I have stated elsewhere in this thread, I want something totally custom so I am going to wait a bit for my Portenzo case until the BIG rush dies down and things get back to normal around there:)
 
Noticed the price of the 23.5 went up $10. It's now $89.95

The price you are thinking of was the Introductory price when he first released that case from what I have seen. Kinda like if you buy a today you can have it for $79.95 and if you wait the price will be higher.;)

I see a way around the 90 dollar price tag.

The upgrade is still, as of this posts' writing, only 19.95, so buy a basic notebook, for 60 USD, then immediately attach a 23.5 upgrade, 60+20ish = 80 dollar 23.5 case =P

Edit: To the random person rage (-)neg-ing my posts, please get a life, or not......=)

Congrats ....

Congrats to all those who have received Their case (and/or who received shipping notices). I was a "late bloomer" so to speak and didn't order until 01APR since I had to wait for tax return (and to wear down the other half's resistance to my spending a decent amount of money on an iPad 2 and a good case... And a bunch of apps, protective film for front and back, etc.... But I digress.)

Hoping that I get a shipping notice soon as well. (the last email I rec'd was the same status many others did... With the expected ship date of 25APR which, of course, did not happen).
 
Well, two days ago I received a shipping confirmation and today my Comp2 arrived. As with my previous Composition, I can't help but be impressed with what's been created for the current ipad.

Will I order from Portenzo in the future? More than likely, though not with the same confidence as I did when I made my Comp2 order. Hopefully, when future ipads are announced/released, TP will be well prepped.
 
Ordered a levant on april 5th, and it just shipped today. 3 weeks later.
I were given a few earlier estimates, but non of them turned out to be true.

3 weeks is not bad, but Im certainly not impressed.

Hope the shipping to EU is fast.

I ordered on 3/16 and mine shipped yesterday. You are in a better boat than most others.
 
Disheartening News

For all the people that have gotten your cases I'm truly jealous! I ordered on 3/13 and upgrade to 23.5, but have yet to get a shipping confirm. Not only that, but have repeated told TP that I will be leaving the country this week, and was assured that I would have it in time. (6+ weeks of waiting) So, today I sent ANOTHER email asking for a status and this is the reply:

We're currently shipping into the #6000s. We are still catching up on some older 23.5s and Moroccos. We cannot give you any more specific information at this time. By late next week, we should be able to update you solely based on your order number. Until then, please be patient– know that we are working very hard to catch up on all orders.

You will get a shipping notification when it ships with tracking information. Please do not to respond to ask for more specific information, as we do not have it. Your case will ship as soon as our creative little hands can make it. Again, thank you for your patience. In general, we will not respond to order status inquiries at this time.
