If it makes you feel any better (not sure it would), I ordered on the evening of the 8th and it still says Not Yet Shipped. Still says Delivery by June 19th, FWIW. Hoping for the best, but it is frustrating.

I am in the same boat as you are. I am not worried though. Some people will get theirs early. I will probably get mine on the 19th. Thats fine either way.
My husband and I ordered 2 phones at the same time on 6/9 through AT&T at the store. A 16GB and 32GB. I just checked the status and the 16GB has a UPS tracking number (not in the UPS system yet because it probably hasn't been picked up) and the 32GB is still in progress with no tracking number. It is not backordered either. I expect that the 32GB will probably have a tracking sometime today since when I checked last night they both didn't have tracking #'s yet.

From reading through this thread it looks like majority of the "not shipped" yet resides on the East Coast.. While majority of the "Prepared for Shipping" reside on West Coast and Central..
I'm not sure how Apple goes about processing orders, whether it's by Last name, zip code, luck of the draw.. etc,etc.

My last name starts with a B, and I have gotten mine shipped, live on the East Coast.

So I just called Apple and was told that I will not get my phone until the 22nd which doesn't make any sense because I have yet to see someone who ordered earlier than me yet people who ordered 4-5 days after me already have a tracking number for delivery on the 19th. And I also got the email about the delivery date error saying I'll get my phone on the 19th but was still told the 22nd by the CSR. Apple must be working backwards or something, I just can't imagine why they wouldn't have better organization on such a big launch.
Me too...ATT needs to step up their game and make a real order tracking system.

Don't worry. I ordered on 8th afternoon. Still not yet shipped. I will give apple another 24 hours before starting to worry about it. My order is using over night shipping. I guess that's why they will ship it later.
Guys, I want my two 3GS phones as much as anybody but some of this talk is getting a bit out of hand. In all likelihood the phones will show up on the 19th but if they take an extra couple of days to show up it is NOT the end of the world.
A billion people won't even get anything to eat today and you guys are getting hysterical about whether your phone is going to arrive on time or not.

This sux..ordered from apple on the 9th and I'm from Little Rock and mine still says Not Yet Shipped..Ima knock someone out if I don't get my new iPhone until next week!!
