Possibility of Arrival Before the 19th

oh and just to let you know, i am from Dallas, Texas(stupid state) and did preorder on june 12th with package ready for shipment. last name h.
i ordered mine on the 9th through AT&T and it's still showing as back-ordered. i wasn't worried about it until i started seeing everyone else's showing prepared to ship. i'm gonna have to give them a call tomorrow to see what the deal is. hopefully it's all good.
I hate it when they preview something (iPhone) and make you wait for it! I think that somewhere an Apple shipping employee is sitting on a pile of iPhone 3GSs knowing that thousands of buyers are eagerly waiting and laughing his head off, waiting until midnight on the 19th to ship them out.

Damn this sucks for me. I ordered a 32GB from ATT Business on June 10th. I go to track my order and it says QTY Backordered: 1. What gives??
i can't understand why at&t shows backordered but
has them labeled and ready to go...

I think I will add. Ordered from Princeton, NJ last name starts with an F. if that is important?
last name is really just a speculation of prepared for shipment updates. a lot of different variables as to how apple prepares and ships the iphone orders
maybe it is related to the shipping method. i am using overnight shipping. Maybe apple choose to ship all the iphones using USPS first.
What i want to know is why did you guys order online for it to be shipped and not just go to an att store and reserve one?
So we dont have to get up early and wait in lines and deal with them maybe not having one. Apple guaranteed the 19th so i will sit at home and wait for the fedex guy.
Let's see, about 3 reasons.
1. Why would I get in the car and go to an AT&T store, talk to a guy who probably didn't even know they released a new iPhone that morning, and continually tell him I was here to preorder something he didn't even know existed while he tried to sell me some POS LG Envy 2xq637we II for $39 with a $400 mail in rebate. It was easier to sit in my underwear and use the internet to order my phone.
2. Why would I want to, again, get in my car on the 19th and go to the AT&T store to stand in a preorder line, when I can just wait on Fedex to bring it to me?
3. Again, for emphasis, why in the h-e-double-L would I buy it from AT&T instead of Apple unless I had some funky account or FAN discount that Apple couldn't help me with. I have no problems with my AT&T service, but I despise the store and the people who work there, at least in my neck of the woods. They never know anything and they smell like Cheetos.
