Fake.

The Xp is nearly enough for me, plus the differences and lack of button on the Red.

But very nice job.

These look ace!! I want one

I'm not shure if this is the real thing, but it does look good. I think I would go for the black one. I just want them to announce the 3G iphone with all other stuff (like better camera and GPS) on Monday and then start selling them really soon.

I have heard rumors that they might have a Pay as you go one, do you think that apple might do that?

Come on :apple:

MY vote is for "fake"...

but...

I'm willing to bet that the back of the iphone is going to be a similar shape to the bottom of the MacBook Air. And probably matte metal. So the fake images may indeed be close in shape to the actual product.

About what I expected..I Like the product Red idea!!

Likewise. Just a couple more days and all the suspense will be over.

obviously fake. just sit back and wait a few days folks, don't make yourselves such easy targets.:D

They look good - not sure about the "Carlos Rodriguez" image - the bloke looks a bit creepy.

Not convinced but they look pretty spot on.

Agreed about the bloke. The girl's no looker either. Apple tends to use actors that are average to good looking, and of mixed ethnicity. Both the dude and the chick in this pick are kind of ugly and goofy, and both look hispanic. Gotta be a fake.

52 hours and counting...

Fake

I wish they were real, but I call it a fake.

Personally, I'm not getting my hopes up too high. I expect 3G and GPS, but not much more. Probably not worth upgrading from my current 8GB iPhone.

I'm more interested in the iPhone software upgrade and the application store at this point.

I hope there's "one more thing" too, but I doubt it.

these phones look too thin to hold a battery large enough to support, power hungry, 3G chips.

FAKE FAKE FAKE

I'm sorry, that girl is cute, and I don't think hispanic...and what does being "hispanic" have anything to do with anything? Apple could certainly use hispanic actors, not a shocker. Agreed, though, that guy looks like a goof, but it could be his shock and amazement at using such a cool device [me laughing, but not out loud].

Well real or fake, I prefer this design to the glossy black plasticy looking one. Roll on Monday! :D

Fake or Not....

Fake or Not, I pray to the APPLE GODS that they have moved the camera to the front! I love my iPhizzle, but I HATED turning it around for photos, and now with the possibility of the video chat emerging, wehave to blind chat with Video. I hope i won't have to BLINDLY talk into the back of the iPhone in order to video conference!

This is a fake. Also, sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but there will not be videoconferencing on the new iPhone.

They wont have video conferencing without a front side camera. Kinda defeats the object.

These are fakes. Reflections are inaccurate

Did anyone notice, along with the other issues, that the reflections aren't accurately created when compared to Apple's other uses. They reflect too much of the iPhone. On Apple's website the front only reflects about half of the home button before it starts to fade. These show the entire home button before fading.

I also think if they were real leaks they would appear in a browser not in someone's copy of Photoshop with the guides showing and typos.

Disappointing...

I hope this IS a fake. Why? Two reasons:

(1) Wifi symbol is on the screen, withOUT the 3G symbol
(2) Two words: "Video Chat"

There's been a lot of talk lately about "Video CALLS." If real, this image might suggest that nothing more than iChat's "Video CHAT" feature will be added to the phone, and only when on Wifi (not even 3G). Personally, I'd get alot more out of Video CALLS than Video Chat, particularly as the number of iPhone users continues to rise.

But then again, a "Both/And" scenario would probably be best.

Thoughts?

Camera mounted behind LCD panel?

1. Could be fake
The camera is on the rear of the phone and it claims to do video conferencing

2. Could be real
If the patented technology to have a some form of camera behind the LCD panel has been developed and implemented

If 2. then... this thing is going to be incredibly immersive. It'll be the first video conferencing device I've seen, where you look directly into the eyes of the person you're talking to. In all existing systems, you either look at the screen and your eyes don't connect, or you look into a camera mounted to the side of the screen.

Naming discrepancy

Aren't all red products labelled '(PRODUCT) Red' (with 'Red' in superscript) as opposed to just '(RED)' as seen on the reverse of the red iPhone? Or has this naming changed recently?
