Been testing the last few days and can't even get to 2.0 down. I'm in Denver....supposedly there's HSPA+ all around me (I'm on a 4S)

Anyone in the Denver area see anything different, and does anyone have any advise for me? My plan says "iPhone 4S data"
It should be obvious but people will bug you for not clarifying, edit the post to show ATT as your carrier. :)
Best advice i could give you would be either find a friend with a 4g Att phone (assuming in denver they are marketing the HSPA+ as 4g, or just go into a store and find a HSPA+ phone and check out its bandwidth. This should give you a general idea if its your area, or the networks bachaul etc. Then again, there are people far more qualified than me to speak intelligently on the subject.

Good idea - seems like everyone I know is on Verizon though. Maybe I'll head to the AT&T store and play with a few of their phones.

All tests done downtown Seattle, WA where I work.

Jesus. You guys are so spoiled, I swear. Here in Japan, I usually test around 0.00Mbps - yes, so pathetically slow it doesn't even register.

I feel for you, I do. Out of curiosity, Do your carriers claim that they are selling you 25th generation data speeds or is it known that your getting ****** speeds?

Actually, in the case of the iPhone they don't mention speeds at all. I think it's common knowledge that the speeds suck; if I'm not mistaken it's mostly due to heavy handed traffic shaping and throttling.

I figured that in Japan, speeds would be pretty good. It's probably due to the population in Tokyo, as you mentioned.

Well I realize they don't guarantee any speeds, but i meant more what do they "advertise" or market their speeds as, or what technology. CDMA 1xrtt, EVDO rev.a or B 2g GSM, UMTS, "4g". Just wandering.

Good speeds tonight in Independence MO just outside of KC.

Verizon NYC at 0.04 / 0.00 here. Ridiculous. Already made several complaints, demanding a refund for this months $30. I'm paying $30 for what?! I can't even use Siri it's that slow.
