Sitting on my couch in the basement! I'm lucky to get this in town! Lots of improvement I think it might be they are adding better backhaul for LTE since its on the verge of hitting our area.

One of the faster rates I got in a more rural area! Even though its more lack of congestion I am always surprised by Verizon's 3G EvDO network speeds in rural areas!

I think these results might be a new at&t record :p. Course I'm really close to the tower.

I'm not sure why the app is showing that I'm always on wifi even though it clearly says 3G in the status bar, but whatever. Maybe it's because I'm jailbroken? Anyways, these speeds are very impressive. I'm sitting in my apartment where I used to get none-2 bars and now this past week I'm now getting 3-5 bars. Lovely.

It seems AT&T has flipped the switch on their backhaul this week and I'm really happy about that. Just two days ago I ran a test (that I forgot to screenshot) on campus with many students there, where everyone and their mama has AT&T iPhones, and I still pulled 3.9 down/1.4up, 110 ping. Very nice, even though I rarely use 3G there since we have wifi.

Oh and the top speed is actually wifi via cable Internet, of course. There's no 3G in the world that'll pull that latency and speed. Hahaha!

your speedtests were done on wifi. Your pictures shows that your on wifi as well. Those speeds aren't 3G, they're wifi.......

They are not wifi, as I stated. I conducted the tests with my wifi switched off and the app ran it over the 3G connection as you can tell by the difference between most of the tests and the top test which is clearly cable internet at 10+ Mbps. I don't know why the speedtest app is showing I'm always on wifi when I'm not. I've actually redownloaded the app via 3G, restarted the phone with wifi off and ran it then and it still registered me as being on wifi. I don't know what's up with it, but you can obviously tell with the speed and latency results that is over 3G.

I should state that in that screenshot I had just ran the most recent test over wifi as noted in the speedtest results, so that's why it looks as though all of those tests were run on wifi. The ones before the 10+ Mbps one were all ran on 3G, though. I ran the wifi test to show the difference in speed and latency. I understand the discrepancy on that. I'm gonna try to figure out why it is always registering every test as wifi and try to get a better screenshot for it.

Ugh, I deleted the app, turned off wifi, restarted the phone, redownloaded the app over 3G, ran these tests, and it STILL registers it as wifi. I don't get why it does that, but whatever. Those are the speeds AT&T's churning out tonight. I'm still a happy camper.

My best results are:

Download: 6.97Mbps
Upload: 3.60Mbps.

These are from two separate tests but those are my best results. I've been pretty impressed with the Rogers network almost everywhere I go. My ping is usually under 90 but occasionally it goes past 90.

Edit: Im really curious to see the fastest ATT HSDPA speeds, Lets keep em coming in this thread. Kudos to thread starter, You acted on an idea to many of us probably dismissed.

Been testing the last few days and can't even get to 2.0 down. I'm in Denver on AT&T....supposedly there's HSPA+ all around me (I'm on a 4S)

Anyone in the Denver area see anything different, and does anyone have any advise for me? My plan says "iPhone 4S data"
