So this updated its only for the SMS? so there is a 3.1 comming because Apple seed 3.1 to dev so this is just a fix for sms and the 3.1 its comming later?
Yes.
They've been testing 3.1 with developers for weeks now.
They just quickly threw 3.0.1 out the door to fix the SMS problem since it couldn't wait. Do you really think they'd put a surprise in there just to #*%$ with the developers who have been carefully testing 3.1 all this time?

I find 3.0.1 makes my 3G run as "smooth as butter." It's almost like being on 2.2.1 again, but WITH copy/paste! Ha!

AT&T has to turn that on, not Apple. We wouldn't need a new update for it, just the carriers files.

Yea, i notice that also and i can tilt to landscape faster and when you put ur phone to sleep that click sounds match the moment you push that button. But before it doesn't
Every iPhone update to date has re-installed the entire OS... not just the fixes.
3.0 is 229.3MB so 230MB isn't much of a difference.
OP, I was joking. See TheSpaz's post #14 above. The patch is only for patching the SMS bug, AFAIK, nothing more, nothing less.
Can you do me a favor and check the toggle buttons at the bottom of Maps? Do they still look like this?

What I love is that the 3.0 software is better-centered but you're complaining about it. ~.~
