Been meaning to post this for some time... (I apologise for the horrible image quality, my phone's camera is useless in artificial light.)

15in SLSD PowerBook and Atlona DP-400 vs. 4K display. The black bars are there because this is running at 2656×2160, higher resolutions result in framebuffer corruption.

It's fun that both desktops look to have roughly the same physical width on the picture despite one being twice as wide as the other due to the vastly higher pixel density on the 4K display :D

Nope.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.

However, the camera's quality is bad enough that I believe it to be faulty.

Really? I had a cheapo Xperia XA as a work phone for a while and the camera is decent.

Definitely something wonky with that!

Probably, yep.

And... not to derail yet another thread but that mention of Firefox OS [phones] makes me remember and silently regret the disappearance of said OS - it felt like a "more friendly" version of Android to me and was really zippy on a humble first-gen Moto G.

What are you looking for in one? I might be able to help.

Essentially something that is in as good condition as possible, not too fussed about the specs, but if the condition is spot on, comes with the charger and a battery (doesn't necessarily have to be a battery with amazing capacity, but an original battery would be nice), and available in the UK for a reasonable price, then I'd be highly interested in it. If it came with it's original box then that would be a very nice bonus.

Finished my garage set up. It’s uses? Mostly car schematics, ifixit type website surfing n bench stuff right now but At some point I’d like to get a iSight for it. Over all tho, it’s now a very functional workspace with the monitors & stereo speakers wall mounted, stereo head & the cables up & out of the way. Pretty happy with it now.

Today I’m quite proud of my cardboard screen , made for my MacMiniG4 home file server.

It’s a 8" lcd screen I purchased some time ago with the intention of using with an Rpi, but then I had another one already in use … so this one was unused in the closet. thought it would be nice to have a small monitor for the MacMiniG4, displaying what’s happening in there, or just a clock.
problem that screen came without any frame. But cardboard and tape did the trick.
Kind of "Ikea style" :p

So I recently got a 20" Apple Cinema Display, and I hooked it up on my desk in my room to my MDD, so it now has two displays attached. :) I really like the size and display quality of this one, and the FireWire ports are handy.

We also have been cleaning the basement, so I rearranged some stuff down there recently too. This is my Blue Dalmatian iMac G3, sitting above my stereo, which is connected via an AirPort Express, so I can AirPlay tunes in the basement. :)

Finally managed to take some pictures of my PowerPC dominated office. Highlights include a 20inch iMac G4, NextStation Turbo and Amstrad PCW. Plus, lots of familiar PowerPC faces. View attachment 840953 View attachment 840956 View attachment 840954 View attachment 840957 View attachment 840958

Impressive! Congratulations on finding a 20" iMac G4, they are now getting difficult (and rather expensive to find). Also the Cube and 12" PBook etc, all make for the must additions in a PPC collection. I personally have and apprize all the same models. ;)

I need a 20” iMac G4. Right now I just have a 15” one. I do have a 12” PowerBook and a cube though... (which is under repair right now.) Don’t forget about the clamshell iBooks!

Expensive iMac G4s? How much are they going for?

Mine’s somewhat upgraded, just missing the BT and WiFi internal cables. The guy I bought it from pinched them in half.
