The iPhone 5 will have a 40MP full frame 35mm sensor that will be able to shoot over 100K ISO, all in RAW.
Adobe Lightroom will be incorporated in the new iTunes which will allow processing of all the RAW files.

So are these from the 5 or the 4S?

I hope both models sport the same camera but I highly doubt it.

Because in addition to the coordinate numbers you also need to specify whether they're for West or East latitude, and North or South longitude. Essentially you can go +47 degrees, say, or -47 degrees, which is completely the opposite direction. Without the cardinal directions, a given set of coordinates could have any of 4 possible locations (4 combinations of N/S, E/W).

Edit: beaten to it by seconds!

Type this in google maps :

37,19.93 N 122,1.82 W

Does this not include the cardinal directions ?

scheesch.. I can't believe I was in the Navy..

Do you think a software engineer can manipulate the pictures Data? Do you think he's allowed to put such a picture on Flickr? Do you think he already cleared his desk and git his papers?

Exciting if true. If!

I think Google Maps can't understand that format for the entry, with commas and lack of spaces, and it's somehow correlating whatever it's seeing with something in that city.

If you just replace the two commas with spaces, it finds Apple HQ fine.

That's interesting

If you look at the photographer's Flickr feed, you'll see a new photo posted August 13. The Flickr info says it was taken with "an Apple iPhone". But the resolution is 765x1024; same rez of the current iphone cammy (scaled 50%), but 8px narrower.

Hurm. Maybe that's not that interesting. #SlowDayAtWork

While I would like for this to be true...I read an article (possibly on MacRumors) about how you can attach a high res lens to an iPhone 4 and shoot photos. So that might be what we are seeing.
There are add-on lenses for the iPhone, but they are purely physical optical additions. They don't modify the EXIF data.

Also, adding a supplemental lens would not result in a faster f-stop than the built-in lens. You can't go from f/2.8 to f/2.4 by adding another layer of glass. The only way to do this is an entirely new lens unit.

Here's the un-rounded plate with the faint details brought up.

I've never owned a compact camera. I only own bulky SLR cameras and they get bigger and bigger each iteration (I own Nikon). I'd love to have a quality compact to slip in my pocket for any old moment.

The iPhone 4 is great, but if the new one has even better optics, I can't wait. I don't own an iPhone now, but can't wait at all for when I can have one. Come February, I'll get one, finally.

If it can suffice for a lot of situations, I'll be as happy as everything. Then, I'll sell my SLR and get a rangefinder, as I can't stand the weight.

Micro 4/3 my friend.

This post seems a little fishy if you ask me. :)

But it does make me hungry for some sushi....and the iphone 5.

Personally i don't know what to believe about all these rumors anymore. At least we should hear SOMETHING from Apple this month and finally end all this speculation. Can't wait.

Ok....sushi time!

Sad. About 6 more MP than you need unless you are Ansel Adams. If they had given us a good 2MP sensor you could have taken that some picture in a restaurant with one candle for illumination and still been able to count how many grains of rice were in each piece of sushi.
