Is there way to see what camera is this? Sony? Would Apple go with Sony since Apple is so far above Sony?
Nah, the component manufacturer isn't passed onto the EXIF data. The only way to verify who made the camera would be to crack one open and take it apart (like the iFixIt teardowns).

Also, it's entirely possible that Apple would choose different suppliers for the lens module, sensor, and LED flash. There's also the possibility that Apple could use multiple suppliers for the same part.

Single-sourcing a specific part has its risks: the manufacturer might not be able to yield enough parts, a manufacturing flaw would impact availability, there would be no cost competition benefit, etc.

Next rumor, the picture of Steve's fingerprint on the 4" LCD of iPhone 5 which was taken from iPhone 5.

I don't believe this article for a second.

Why would they post a photo of some food/product and not advertise the place it was taken?

Very interesting. I find myself taking plenty of pictures with my iPhone 4, so a real upgrade in quality would be meaningful for me. However, extra megabits isn't really going to help that much. I want low light capability and better lens. Often I only email around a smaller than fullsized picture anyway. I hope Apple keeps focused on the quality of the picture and doesn't get into the stupid megabits war.

It looks like they have already gotten into the "stupid megabits war" The average consumer to totally ignorant on this issue and still equates the number of pixels with image quality. Apple is happy to play along as the misconception sells cameras.

But there is good news too. Look at the focal length and f-number on the lens. In is incrementally improved over the iPhone4.

Everyone who knows how cameras work knows that cell phone images are diffraction limited, not resolution limited and the only way to change that is with a physically larger lens. But such a lens will not fit in a phone.

No.

You get the point.

This just made the craving for sushi that I've had for the past week so much stronger.

On another note, do people seriously care about the camera on their phone so much? The camera on the iPhone 4 is good enough for everyday snapshots, and if I really want to take a photograph I just pull out my DSLR.

i don't demand that the camera be improved upon. the iPhone 4 camera is perfectly fine for me.

but there are plenty of people that will welcome it, like me, my iPhone is my only camera.

There's clearly a guy bottom left taking a photo. No real detail, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Ah yes thank to you! It is skinny guy (or woman) arms holding phone over plate. So amazing to see shadow of iPhone5. To me seems like has bigger screen than iPhone4. Yes?

How in cafe in Apple work place do others not see this happen and stop this idiot guy or female? To protect work of Steve who is king, I think I would stop this guy or female.

Maybe because the general public can't eat at that venue?

Lots of people on Flickr, Instagram, whatever post photos of food that aren't geotagged. If I grill a porterhouse steak at home, why would I geotag that? So I can give up my privacy and have people pounding on my front door asking for medium rare?

Assuming the EXIF data hasn't been cooked up, this photo emanated from 1 Infinite Loop. The Apple cafeteria is not open to the general public. It is for Apple employees and their guests.

The camera is what I want improved most.
I literally take hundreds of photos a month, of anything, from my dinner, landscapes, family and events etc.

I use it as a personal diary, so when I look back on my 2008 pictures I can pretty much recall what I was doing at that exact point - and throughout that day!

:)

Apple cafe is supposed to be very nice, like many of the Fortune 100 companies. Note the lightening doesn't look like it's in a restaurant.

Yes, it will have a 4.5" AMOLED screen, built-in Blu-ray player, 24 hours of battery life, eSATA connector, 4G LTE and WiMax and cost $99. Oh, and it will support Adobe Flash. ;)

It will be hand-delivered to you by a naked Megan Fox riding a pink unicorn who will take your pizza order and return thirty minutes later with the piping-hot pizza. Please, no tipping allowed.

:D

Please do not feed the unicorn.

Apple, enough of this already. Just stop it. It's a phone, not atomic bomb plans. Stop acting like every little tad of information that gets out is a state secret that needs to be squashed. I'm tire of reading about demands to get back four year old prototypes that went nowhere, cops being sent out like the Gestapo to recover lost phones and camera photos being pulled. Its already beyond ridiculous.

taken by an apple engineer? bologna. Look how perfectly centered the image is! Also, what kind of a restaurant has white tables like that? "leaked" image just sent to stir up rumors and excitement with mac-fanboys (yes, like myself)!

Another N94 tidbit, hmm. I hope you guys aren't actually expecting both an updated iPhone 4 AND an all-new design next month. When has Apple EVER done that? It's going to be an updated iPhone 4, that's it.
