Yes!
I was logged in to my Flickr account and reading the comments and refreshing the screen when it went from public to private!
That clinches it for me!
YAY!

Exactly what I was doing, too. When I originally clicked the link, the photo had only received around 3,000 hits, but my last refresh it was close to 13,000 hits.

I have a bulky DSLR and fancied something smaller, so I bought a Lumix LX5. I love it. It's not a real rangefinder (they're stupidly expensive), but it is pretty good and it shoots in RAW. You should look at the top-end compacts to supplement your SLR. Camera phone sensors are so small that they're always going to be noisy and flat compared to a real camera, and you'll be disappointed with the results most of the time (though it depends what you're after, I guess).

I'm looking at Sony's NEX models (even though they are cropped). I don't really dig compacts, and the NEX can use all of my AiS lenses, and so, too, can the iPhone with an adapter.

I'm a hiker and bicycler and find now almost no use for a modern SLR. My FM2 is tiny in comparison to the D200 or D700 and takes as good of single image shots. But Nikon don't want to make that size of SLR anymore unless it is plastic and can't meter with tiny lenses.

I won't go back to point and shoot cameras (has one in 1999), but SLR's are just ridiculous.

I bet if you enhanced this photo you could see a faint reflection of the photographer in the plate.

Where's Caruso when you need him?

In CSI not only would they have the photographer's face but also a clear picture of the iPhone taken from its reflexion on the photographer's retina.

The iPhone 5 will have a 40MP full frame 35mm sensor that will be able to shoot over 100K ISO, all in RAW.
Adobe Lightroom will be incorporated in the new iTunes which will allow processing of all the RAW files.
Yes, it will have a 4.5" AMOLED screen, built-in Blu-ray player, 24 hours of battery life, eSATA connector, 4G LTE and WiMax and cost $99. Oh, and it will support Adobe Flash. ;)

It will be hand-delivered to you by a naked Megan Fox riding a pink unicorn who will take your pizza order and return thirty minutes later with the piping-hot pizza. Please, no tipping allowed.

:D

I see the reflection of iPhone 5 on the left side of the plate!

I hate myself for actually scrolling up to check even though I knew nothing was there.

Enhance!

There's definitely something fishy about this.

I read the first page of comments and I was amazed no one made this joke. I was gonna post this after I finished reading the second page and then I saw this :)

Has the picture been removed from Flickr? :)

Yup, it's telling me the picture is now private. It must mean something if it was randomly changed from public to private. I'm getting all excited again. I really want the iPhone 5 to have an actually better camera than the iPhone 4 (and not just spec wise, but quality wise).

I wonder how many people at Apple have been fired because of MacRumors.
Ha!

Haha probably more than we'd like to find out. I know it's probably insensitive of me to say this, but thanks to these people sacrificing their jobs we get to see leaks! Unless of course this was all planned out by Apple to create a stir. Commence conspiracy theories in 3, 2, 1....

I doubt it will have a Blu-Ray player.

even logged in, it's been made private, bet Apple HR got a hold of this person and told them to change the settings.......
in my opinion doesn't matter which device took that pic, it's all part of "growing fever" strategy. i think none will be fired :p

OK, so it was probably real then. Nice! :) I doubt an Apple guy would fake it, and then make it private. ;)

This may be a big surprise to many but contrary to what camera manufacters like consumers to beleive MegaPixels DO NOT relate the the quality of an image, mearly its size, megapixel simply means "1,000,000 pixels", it tells nothing of the actual quality of the image. While this is well known to people into photography its still widely beleived by consumers. In many cases increased megapixels can DECREASE the quality of an image(!) if the MP count is greater than the capabilities of the cameras sensor.

See:

Of note, an increase to 8 MP allows for in-camera cropping (or digital zoom) to the 5 MP of the previous generation which would be a benefit if sensor noise was also improved over the previous generation of sensor.
