This is a RUMOR of a photo being taken by an iPhone 5 which is an Apple product. It is definitely news for people who have interest in the iPhone 5 and its camera quality, so quit moaning already and just don't click the link if you don't like it.

Yeah, it's called Macrumors not Macnews, silly.

Ken Rockwell is a bozo within the photography community. Google him and see.

bozo or not, the statement was correct. increasing mp can have an adverse effect on picture quality. consequently, lower mp cameras can indeed produce superior pictures (e.g. as seen in the G10-G11 transition, even if this is not only due to mp's).

keep dreaming

Seriously... how else will ATT compete with the pricing model? Look, i won't try to promote my site here, but read the most recent post I put up on my blog and tell me it doesn't make sense.

Just click on my name and it'll take you... but for real, ATT would lose WAY too much business if they don't compete. It's simple Supply and Demand really. They used to control the Demand because they had the only supply, so the price could be whatever they want...

Now that someone else is supplying the demand and a lower cost, the Equilibrium price has to be reduced... Just sayin

Yes, it will have a 4.5" AMOLED screen, built-in Blu-ray player, 24 hours of battery life, eSATA connector, 4G LTE and WiMax and cost $99. Oh, and it will support Adobe Flash. ;)

It will be hand-delivered to you by a naked Megan Fox riding a pink unicorn who will take your pizza order and return thirty minutes later with the piping-hot pizza. Please, no tipping allowed.

:D

Please do not feed the unicorn.

Is Megan Fox qualified to ride a Unicorn? They can't be ridden unless the rider meets certain stringent 'purity' tests.

grabbed just before it was made private

anyway, in my opinion doesn't matter which device took that pic, it's all part of "growing fever" strategy. i think none will be fired :p

Mine better be delivered by a sweaty, musky, naked Ryan Gosling. Preferably on a motorcycle. ;)

I demand that MacRumors take down the post immediately as it's my photo stolen from my Flickr photo stream. It was shot by me with my old Canon point-and-shoot from 2006.

Did anyone else see this post??

Adding glass to make lens faster.

Also, adding a supplemental lens would not result in a faster f-stop than the built-in lens. You can't go from f/2.8 to f/2.4 by adding another layer of glass. The only way to do this is an entirely new lens unit.

I think you can actually, with a focal-lenth reducer. Pretty common on telescopes used for astro-photography (gives a wider filed of view and reduced imaging times); not sure why nobody makes them for 35mm cameras.

Steve

I can get down with everything on that plate except for the avocado roll.

I mean , Really, what a stupid choice for a roll.
At least get a California roll or something.

"Oh my god, I've been craving Avo and Rice all day"

I just don't get it. Its almost the same price ac the California ..

Yeah, but if I understand correctly, those focal length reducers and extension tubes aren't valid for a device (like a smartphone) whose lens elements aren't detachable. In any case, such a modification still wouldn't update the EXIF data.

Using a proprietary algorithm I have extracted an image of the iPhone 5 from the reflection off the plate.

It looks great!

And another thing

This photo was taken with a 23 MegaPixel Camera

But you just can't tell from this shot because I cropped the photo and scaled it down.

You're just going to have to take my word for it. ;)

What a Load Of Crap

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original image dimensions were present in the EXIF data...
