Powerbook G5 Hints?

Ah, so the elusive creatures really do exist...
it just doesn't seem possible, after all the reports that were coming in about how far off the PBG5 will be. G4 updates will becoming, but i think we still have a while till the G5.
While I like to remain optimistic, I think if something as big as the PowerBook G5 were going to be announced, I think it would have superceded the iPod Shuffle as the "One More Thing" during the keynote.
Totally a typo, but the "Thermal Engineer" job postings on their Monster.com are a very good hint.

SJ had an incredible amount of things at this MacWorld, and the "spotlight" (ha ha ha...) was supposed to be on iPod shuffle, Mac mini, iWork, iLife, and Tiger, along with various other random things. I really hope these rumors are true though, and hopefully they actually have these things sitting somewhere right now. No, not just sitting somewhere! Release them!

You think they are hiring engineers now for a product that folks are rumoring to be releasing in the next week or two?
It takes at least several moths if not well over a year to develop new hardware as complex as laptops.
All the hiring thing says is that Apple needs additional thermal engineers for their future products, possibly back filling existing positions or creating new positions.
So I think you are reading a little to much into the job listings

personally I don't think we'll see G5 powerbooks so early this year. Considering production cycles and everything, My best guess would be a november or december release at best. Possibly a iBook G5 in summer of 2006 (just in time for the new school year). But deffinately not earlier.
Freescale's production of G4's at 1.6Ghz is good at the moment so I wouldn't be surprised with a new G4 PowerBook at this or similar speed.

Leaks
If a PB G5 was going to come out on the the 1st doesn't any think we would have heard leaks about it? I do.

I actually submitted this rumor before it was posted. Anyway I am wondering if it was just a mistake or if the G5 is coming soon. I can't see them announcing it without any big press so my guess is that it isn't time for it yet, but I wouldn't mind the surprise.

So if you can see what I see ... it appears that this is some scam or someting. I think Apple is just trying to trick us in a way. Its still a little early for a PB G5 however, we could see an update on the PB G4. This PB G5 may not even be out or annonced till next macworld in january. I wouldnt get all excited over this right now.
