ok i got to the part u put in root as the user and alpine as pass then a # sign comes out wat do i do there??
 
I got a "USBMuxListnerCreate: No Error" after I do all the rebooting on the Command Prompt.. Anyone know what that is all about?

and I'm running Vista 32bit and I didn't run the command prompt in Admin. Mode.. Wondering if that could have done it..
 
for the ip part whatismyip is showing the ip of my computer but when i go to wireless setting i think its showing the router ip which one do i use?

Open TouchFree again. Mine just did the same thing.

use the one on ur ipod using settings>wifi>and the blue arrow and it says ip address
can someone help me on 6b

Use the ip from the Wi-Fi settings page of your iPod. whatismyip will not give you the correct ip address as it will give you your router's ip address. You want the ip address your router assigns to your ipod.

Actually, I have the same problem - has anyone seen and fixed this particular issue? I'm restoring my ipod to factory and starting the unlock over again to see whether I can fail to duplicate that particular result.
 
Just tried this, and it works flawlessly, if you follow the instructions. It also helps to have some basic familiarity with PuTTY and an SFTP client (like WinSCP).

This is an issue with SummerBoard I believe. It does not work correctly with firmware 1.1.1. Unistall it using Installer.app and you should be all set.
 
grr.. Now everytime I run the touchfree DOS App it gives me "USBMuxListnerCreate: No Error" right after "Reading iPod Flash Memory"

I'm new to this stuff.. What should I do?
 
wenever i get errors i just restart everyting from the beggining so i know if i misseed anyting

I dont even see Trip1Pogostick on my system list even after installing the communnity sources, anyone else have this problem?
 
crap i closed the ssh session right before i had to launch the installer the second time

Any one please help me i started the process for jail breaking the ipod i went to the website for the tif file and then i opened the touch free exe but before it finished i exited it becuase i realized i had no idea what i was doing. The ipod works fine except i cant sync it with itunes. everything else works but it wont show up in the itunes thing but windows reckognized it. I tried to reinstall itunes but it didnt work still. And i restored the ipod to factory settings still didnt work

PLEASE HELP ME :( :(

PS: if it helps it says the capacity is only 300mb

And the rescue is effected just in time; I was literally seconds from recovery.
