iPod touch Practically fully Automated Windows Jailbreak Install here by planetbeing!!

question

Hey i had a question, does any one know it can get even esier than this or is this it. Will there eventuall be a progam released that jailbreaks it for you?

PS: im also sure this question has allready but is it COMPLETELY safe for me to try this stuff and keep restoring if anything goes wrong or can i cuase perm damage

when i click on touchscreen and open it it opens in the cmd window then just closes like 2 secs later...and ive tried reboot and everything?

Re-download the file package from rapidshare again and reboot your PC.
 
ok well can someone tell me a site to get the iphone apps from, a legal site plz. post link here plz.
 
Hi.

i followed this guide and got to 6c. But i cannot find the Trip1PogoStick under system or anywhere.

Also when doing steps 7.5-11 the one webpage wouldn't load in safari.

Any help?

did you read step 6c?

"6c. Note that before Trip1PogoStick is visible, you must install the Community Sources package
in Installer.app. This is not mentioned in that tutorial"

You have to install COMMUNITY SOURCES and then look for trip1.
 
hey everyone

Hey just becuase i asked this question before, i read on another forum that very shortly within the next day a 1 click jailbreak method will be made so if you can i would reccomend holding off untill it is created
 
For instruction #6..."6a. Launch an SSH session into your iPod, username is root, password is alpine."

Do I use the putty window that opens once I enter in my ip address in touchfree?
 
So I finally got it to work, installed Community Sources and everything, but I don't see Trip1PogoStick under System either... hmm...

go to ur touchfree zip and open putty then put all the info in the sesson section and a black window appears then u wait a bit till username comes up then u type the user and pass

So is it alright that the the putty window opens and then terminates the session once I enter in the ip address of my touch in touchfree?
 
How am I supposed to do these things on my touch?

Slide to unlock your iPhone then type /Applications/Installer.app/Installer and hit return to launch Installer.
After AppTapp opens, press control+c to close it
Open Safari on iPhone and navigate to http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/beta
Tap yes to add it to Installer
Back in terminal, using ssh, type /Applications/Installer.app/Installer and hit return to launch Installer again.
Install Trip1PogoStick located under the "System" category to enable scrolling and applications.
When you're done, reboot the iPhone and close all your windows. You now have AppTapp.

I was doubtful that control+c on my keyboard would close it on my touch too. but try it, it works. follow the directions to the letter. Except install "Community Sources" before you install Trip1PogoStick
 
finalyl got it to work
no idea where to get the stuff to add though and how do u change the pw in putty?

where do I get AppTrapp and type in applications/installer.app/installer?

so far my touch is the exact same and I don't know where installer.app will appear.
 
Hooray!!! I successfully jailbreaked my iPod Touch using this process! Seamless, absolutely no problems. I installed the iPhone apps and they all work great!!! One last hack... modify the Calendar app to allow new entries...

My iPod touch went from a great MP3 player with some cool bells and whistles, to a full fledged PDA/micro-computer... I love it!
 
If I create a video tutorial on how to jailbreak it will people understand better? And is youtube gonna kill me if I post a video of it?
