*Anyone have any idea if AT&T "reserves" units from stock once you have the units in your cart, or only after you've completed the order? FWIW I had the units in my cart for nearly an hour before completing the order.

**Interestingly when I logged in about 2 hours ago everything on the Order Status Results page showed QTY Ordered: 1 as well as QTY Back-Ordered: 1. However now it shows QTY Ordered: 1, with QTY Back-Ordered: 0. All items ordered continue to show the "In Progress" status with no ship date assigned.

I ordered mine through AT&T around 1pm and never got a single confirmation nor did it say anything online

I called AT&T last night and they said that it DID go through but just hadn't been posted online.

I asked to cancel it since I ordered through Apple and AT&T complied

I also got a CSS this morning, for what it's worth. Downloaded it and it looks like it's mostly a boilerplate iPhone service summary - no mention of iPhone 4 and it said I would owe the $18 upgrade fee when I know it was waived.

Either way, one more bit of evidence that AT&T knows I purchased an iPhone since I'm one who didn't get a confirmation e-mail.
 
Well I talked to an AT&T rep and she notified me that a ton of orders are still processing. So if you didn't get an email, and searching your wireless orders came up nothing, you're probably still in process. I was originally told that we wouldn't "lose" our place in line, but it's sounding more like we will as she states that my phone is being entered as ordered today instead of yesterday! :( :( So who knows when I'll get my phone at this point. I'm just hoping it's before I leave town the following Wednesday! If it appears that way I may cancel it.

With all of the mess that yesterday caused, and with people's order dates showing up incorrectly in AT&T's system, IS there a way to cancel these orders? At this point, I'd rather not deal with AT&T at all anymore. I'd just like to cancel the order and have the money charged back to my account.

My order number also starts with 505, has anyone whose order number also starts with 505 received a confirmation email and/or retrieved their order status at AT&T.com yet?? I have neither received an email nor been able to locate my order in AT&T's order status system.

It's weird how some got confirmation emails and some didn't. I received my confirm immediately following the completion of my order.

1st phone preordered at 7:30 comes up on both of the order status sites.
2nd phone preordered at 7:45 only comes up on the premier site, not on regular.

Whats weird is my line that I got the iphone4 now shows an upgrade eligiblity for 6/16/2011 before this it was i can upgrae with a new 2yr contract.

Did anyones upgrade date change once you pre ordered the iphone4? I think people will have a hard time to get a new iphone4 on launch day through apple, if they pre ordred through AT&T for home delivery.

I called last night and was informed that everything went through and to not worry about the email, that it should be sent out within 24-48 hours. We'll see...
 
I can officially update my status. I can now retrieve my order in AT&T's order status site and whats more, it went from back-ordered to ordered (not that that means much). All this happened about exactly 24 hours after I originally processed the order yesterday. It does show an order date of 16th June, not the 15th, but I hear lots of people are seeing that even from ordered as early in the day yesterday as 7am. Also, my card was charged, and I now have a pending charge from AT&T on my bank account, woohoo! Now I'm just praying for an arrive date of 24th June!!
