Ordered mine early Friday Morning and its at "Order In Progress Delivers 29 Sep, 2017 - 03 Oct, 2017"

I wouldn't worry about it. It still shows preparing to ship on the Apple site with my order, which is to be delivered the 22nd. When I checked through UPS my choice, it had already departed Alaska. Once it gets to the lower 48, you will receive a shipping notice. The same will be for Best Buy.
How do you check UPS if you don’t have a tracking number since it’s still under Preparing to ship?
You can track by reference number. I went to check my iPhone 8 shipment and one way to track by reference is with your phone number. Surprisingly, it brought up both my iPhone and my ATV, which were on two different orders. I thought it would only bring up my phone. So try that for your ATV shipment.
Thanks just tried typing in my phone number on the UPS tracking site but it says no inform station available at this time, happens if I type a random number too.
Gonna try again as soon I get a tracking number to see if I can lookup via phone number.
Go to UPS, sign up for My Choice. It's free. It will cross reference your address to shipments going to that address. You will be able to see what is being shipped. I checked mine again and it's now in Louisville. I bet I will get a tracking notice from Apple in the morning.

That's exactly what I did as well as the shipment from China has now reached Louisville, KY.
The status on Apple is that the item is still "Preparing For Shipment".
Here's to hoping that the item gets delivered before 22nd.

Only I’m tempted to wait a week or two and use ipp pro 10.5 Apple pay checkout
Tried order via Apple u.k.
Delivery from 5th Oct;
Didn’t purchase, think i’ll wait until delivery dates settle and a tech 1st for my ipp pro -Apple pay onlne!

When I ordered it still said delivers 22nd, mine has been preparing for dispatch since yesterday now.
I cancelled my apple preorder for a 64g because it was saying Oct 2-5. BB Canada says I can have it "as early as Sept. 22nd." I should at least get it before October.
This actually makes me feel a little better, since I waited until later in the day. Same estimate for me.Placed this at 5am EDT, 2am PDT, shows 2-3 weeks out

That is strange. The Apple TV 4 (not 4K) is 149$ for the 32gb version. Just not sure why, with this much demand, they would discount the 4K 32GB Version from 179$ to 149$.
When I clicked on the link the price was $179. Was it ever verified that Walmart sold it at that price?
Yes, their listing did show $149. I had checked later yesterday and that listing was sold out.
Woke up to the sound of ding from my phone. It was a confirmation of delivery for my Apple TV boxes. Interesting that I ordered 2. They gave me 2 tracking numbers in my email. I would have figured they would send both in 1 box.
Unless you are working with a dated TV, which if I read correctly you have a 4K unit, there is no reason to add the optical audio cable to your setup. Just as John.Burn stated, 4K UHD HDMI (it is what I use for my LG OLED personally), to your A/V Receiver. Using the same model cable, hook that HDMI from ATV 4K to your A/V Receiver. Cables now carry the required formats both visually and audio wise for nearly the highest of setups. I am not talking $80 Monster Cables or anything. I have found great deals on the RocketFish 8ft HDMI as I described above for very reasonable prices at BestBuy.
