Preordering iPhone 3GS on Apple.com

retail stores are already taking orders, but it's for in-store pickup. I'd rather not have to deal with waiting in a line so I'll just wait for the ATT site to start taking orders.


Sounds like everyone with a Family FAN is borked right now.

I have a Family Plan and I'm stuck on the same screen you are. The site is moving fast now but as soon as I get to that step, it errors out. A friend of mine got his to go through and the only difference is that he's on a regular plan and I'm on a Family Plan.

Maybe I'll wait and see if I can pre-order through AT&T.

Oh, and I don't have FAN account.

same error for me. i'm on a family plan as well.

I don't even care about cheap... I am willing to pay the $399 if they would just let me order it! Someone needs to figure out why it won't let us order... and then help us fix it! :D
 
I have a bunch of $100 iPhone refund certificates..........can I use them on this online pre-order? Is there an option to pay with gift certs?

same issue - seems to be interfacing with ATT servers. i had the same issue in store last year for the 3G. the Apple guy had to yell at the ATT rep and explain to him how to uncheck certain boxes....
 
It's gotta be a family plan issue, lets hope that the at&t site resolves it because it doesn't seem like the apple one will.
 
This must be really weird cause I also have a family plan and a FAN discount on the account, and my order went through fine?
 
I have a business account and it won't load. Maybe its Family and Business accounts. They may be on the same servers?????

You'd think so, but I'm SOL and I'm trying to set up a whole new account. It's comforting to know that apple/at&t doesn't ONLY hate families, they hate individuals too.
 
I'm not on the family plan and i"m having the same error that sucks but at least i can get the 32gb 3GS for 299 so i'll just wait
 
I think I'm the only person I've seen with my problem. Everytime no matter what zip code I enter I get...

"There are no Apple Retail Stores for the address you entered. Please try again with another address."

this is very frustrating, is anyone else having this problem?
 
I get the same error when trying to continue...Oh well....

What's the total after tax paying 499 w/ all the fees for those who've ordered?
