Called UPS and can't redirect delivery location, pickup at terminal, or schedule afternoon delivery until the first delivery not successful (ie nobody home). Bummer.
Just wondering if anyone else got a "delivers Mach 19" NOT "ships march 19"..

They said that the reason the pallet of iPads hasn't moved yet is due to customs/brokerage. Apparently all the paperwork is done but there is a backlog to process. If there is no movement by tomorrow AM she said to call back.
And, no she could not confirm delivery dates.

Mines there too.... Bummer, I was hoping to set it up for my grandparents this week... Mine is supposed to be delivered by march 27th according to apple.
"Not working" would be that the tracking number can't be found by UPS when you search for it on their website. This happens usually 12 hours after receiving the shipping notification.
Right now, and for a large number of people who ordered non-engraved iPads, they're sitting somewhere in America, thus haven't been SCANNED yet, and that's why you see : "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives...".
Since it's using UPS Express Saver, there would be no problem for the package to leave their current destination tomorrow and arrive on time Friday morning.

I think most of our IPads are sitting in an Apple warehouse in Markham, they will release them to UPS when they want them shipped. Most should start moving in transit tonight....people need to relax.
It said initially that you will receive them 16-20th, so yes you might have to wait until next week. Stop whining like little kids..geez!

hahaha....j/k....i wouldn't worry about it. if you're in a major metropolitan area, i would think you won't see much, if any, movement until tomorrow.

Got my smart cover on yesterday. Received the shipping notice yesterday (Tuesday) @ 6:41 am, with a tracking number... but no info on UPS site yet.

Mine still shows as processing though, I haven't even gotten as far as the shipping notice. But I ordered mine on the 8th, so I may not see it for another week.
Does apple have a est. date for you?
My friend ordered on few days ago and he got a date of March 27.
My est. date was one of the "Ships by March 19th" and "Delivers by March 19th" so I assumed (wrongfully) that it was a gaffe and I would see it on the 16th. That est. date has since slipped to the 26th and now the 27th. Looks like I may be outta luck. We shall see, but it seems many who have the est. 19th ship date have already seen theirs ship. Fingers crossed.

I checked my UPS tracking and it still says Tracking information is not yet available.. Been 36 hours since I got the shipping notice from Apple.
"UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later."
This is for both my iPad and Apple TV. Both of which Apple says will deliver on the 16th.
I'm not worried, I've had packages from Apple before where UPS NEVER tracked the package and I still received it.

I ship quite a bit with UPS, and I can tell you that their tracking info online isn't always perfect, nor up to date. They can also take up to 24 hours to register the tracking info, EVEN WITH THE PACKAGE MOVING IN THEIR SYSTEM. So, for those worried that they won't get their delivery on Friday just because the tracking isn't updating, don't worry. These are getting shipped via UPS Express Saver, which is overnight to most parts of North America.
I've shipped items overseas to Europe and the middle east in the past with UPS where the tracking was still showing as "ready for pickup, and the items were already at the hub in Germany.

...I just did about 20 minutes ago. I'm a bit over eager at this point. The Apple rep was pretty tight lipped and just read back the same information it shows me on the website. He said he saw my Smart Cover delivered this morning and the site still doesn't reflect that so it doesn't appear the Apple site has updated with any new tracking information for my account today. Who knows, but I'll just settle in for the wait.
