Preparing For Shipment status at Apple

Mine is being prepared for shipment! Maybe I'll get it a day early like I did with my iPhone 4 last year.

I ordered around 2PM CT and mine is preparing.
 
Black 64s now being prepared!

Ordered at 2:30 am pacific time on the 7th.

This happened when I ordered my 3GS two years ago.

I ordered it the first day possible (which guaranteed delivery on the first day possible) and was eagerly following a thread just like this one, here on MacRumors--people posting screenshots and discussing shipment status updates.

It seemed that nearly everybody had their phones ship. Almost everybody had tracking numbers and had been following their phones from China to Alaska and into the US. Some real fans had even found out what planes Apple was using to ship and were able to track the exact flights that their phones were on.

My order said "processing" for 6 days. I was concerned, to say the least. I became very concerned on night before the iPhones were due for delivery. I was sure I wasnt getting my phone. Most on MacRumors had tracked their phones to their local FedEx shipment center by this point. My order? Still "processing".

I got up in the middle of the night, 2am NY time, to check the status and it had changed to "preparing to ship". Around 3am it said "shipped". To my amazement it wasn't coming from China. It was coming from Tennessee.

At 5:30am it was in NY. At 6:30 it was at the FedEx facility. At 8 the status changed to "out for delivery". I received the phone at 10 am that morning.

So, don't worry about the shipments. They don't all come from China. Obviously Apple has many shipments already stateside. That would make sense. You will get your phone. I got mine in hand before many of those fellow MacRumors peeps hat had been following their tracking numbers for days.

Ugh...I feel like I am the only one still processing. Does anybody else that ordered before 4AM EST Friday still have a "Processing" status?

Finally prepared for shipment on Apple and my one I ordered of ATT is moved from "received" to pre-order!!! Getting EXCITED!!!!!!

Side note. My friend was like why did you order the iPhone 4S when you already have the 4, its the same phone. Then I showed him the video of Siri on Apple's site and he upgraded his 3GS to a 4S!!

Mine is still processing. 16GB Verizon White ordered at 7am Mountain Time, getting frustrated now.
 
Have any Canadians had their pre-orders come up as "Prepared for Shipment"?

I pre-ordered a 64gb white the moment pre-orders came up (3:45am EST) and my order is still "Processing".
 
Postal Mix?

so I am preparing for shipment 32 black. But states delivery by postal mix. I wonder what that means? It is coming to Maine and have never had that listed for delivery before.

I also got a 32gb white with AT&T, and ordered a few minutes after the store went up. Still "processing" too...
 
i ordered two phones, both 16gb and both white, and both are preparing for shipment, i ordered them around 5 am central time, or somewhere close to that time lol it was late and i was tired
