Mine got delayed by a plane malfunction in Alaska, but was still able to make it and is out for delivery, though UPS tends to deliver to my house at the last possible time of the day.

Man, talk about bad luck! Also home deliveries are always the last priority for the truck driver, businesses are always at the top of the list.

Source: 5 years working as a field tech and having to wait for parts to be delivered to clients.

Trying to track down which plane my 13" MBP is on, kinda hard since there is one update since the label was created. Also decided to reroute the package to a UPS store near me since I won't be home to pick up the package. I wonder what effect this will have on the estimated delivery day.

I requested the same thing, it got pushed back a day initially but then moved back to the original day. 13" + 16RAM coming to Alberta, Canada! Ordered July 16th, around 8:30AM EST and I paid for Expedited shipping.

I requested the same thing, it got pushed back a day initially but then moved back to the original day. 13" + 16RAM coming to Alberta, Canada! Ordered July 16th, around 8:30AM EST and I paid for Expedited shipping.

See, I didn't pay for the expedited shipping. So maybe my MBP will actually be a day "late". Who knows, we shall see.

I ordered my 13" on Tuesday (July 17) and about an hour ago I got the shipping notification. Estimated date: July 30. In the past, when I've had new iPhones, for example, they've typically arrived in ~3 days so I'm hoping the MacBook might be a little quicker than 10.

I think I found the flight that mine is on: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS109 , the times match up pretty well and it says it will arrive in Louisville at 12:30 am. I'm hoping it keeps moving after that and gets here tomorrow. Do you know if they travel or deliver on weekends?

I don't know, they usually don't. I have had an apple product sit for the weekend in Louisville, and deliver on Monday. Hopefully they will for you, just depends on what type of shipping apple shipped it at.

Based on my completely anecdotal experience when I was getting my iPhone X last fall, UPS does seem to work on the weekends. It could be an exception and not the rule (to fulfill Apple's high demand). Note: 10/28/17 and 10/29/17 are both weekends.

Hmm, thanks, That would be great if UPS is just wrong on the estimated date because they don't normally do weekend deliveries. The other thing is I think that an iPhone launch is a lot bigger deal than this launch. So they might just have them do normal movement. Just out of curiosity was the service UPS Worldwide Expedited? That's what this is shipping with. Thanks

Yeah same here, it left Kazakhstan and there have been no updates since. Seems to be lost in the ether. My gut feeling is that it will suddenly end up somewhere in Europe.

Did you get a departure scan from Kazakhstan? If so, then it might be in the air and probably making landfall in Europe sometime later today.

Shanghai to Hong Kong doesn’t take long, so I’m expecting mine any day now. Pity I’m in Germany for another 3 weeks on a work trip while these two beauties (13”, i7, 16Gb, 1TB and 15”, i9, 16Gb, 1TB) arrive in the next few days...

Did some more research and it looks to me the service that Apple used with the iPhones last fall was called "Worldwide Expedited." It's the same this time around as well.
