It's now 6am in Shanghai. If there is going to be weekend movement for my product, it is going to be in the next few or so (let's hope).

Not to rain on your parade, but everyone I've seen (including mine) has departed Shanghai in the afternoon (Shanghai time) around 2-4 PM

Didn't know that. Thanks for the additional information. I will keep my eyes out for any movement around that time and not to expect anything until then.

In the same batch with the same exact output and have not seen any updates. MacBook pro 13in 512gb and 16gb of ram placed on July 17th using standard shipping. My target arrival date is the 26th according to UPS to the SF Bay Area.

So painfully slow waiting for this to arrive...not a delighted customer at all right now. My target arrival date is the 26th according to UPS.

Here's me. Config: 13" 256 GB and 16 GB RAM placed on July 17 using standard shipping. ETA: July 27 instead of July 26 like you. So you are getting it a day ahead of me, theoretically. So consider yourself in a better position than me. Lucky you!

PS: I changed the delivery from shipping it to my home to a nearby UPS Store, maybe that affected the delivery date by a day? Hmm....

Haha yeah - first world problems hence why I edited my post! I was debating buying the 1 TB configuration just to get it sooner but think that's exactly what Apple wants so going to wait it out.

SF Bay Area as well here too. Man, if you get it a day ahead of me all because I decided to reroute my laptop to a UPS store....

Ours are on the same plane haha. I've been tracking it and it just landed: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS109
Looks like mine got on the wrong flight.. First it went to Japan and then it went to Arkansas when I am in California. I could possibly see the transit stop in Japan out of Shanghai but California is way before Arkansas. WTF would they send it to Arkansas first then ship it back the other way to California.. ?

They have their reasons. Most likely UPS didn't have a direct flight headed to CA from Japan and the only flight headed east-bound back to the USA was the Arkansas flight. To save time and be efficient, it went to Arkansas where there will be a greater likelihood to catch a plane that is headed back westbound to CA.

Just my thoughts.

I placed 15” 512GB/32GB/i9 order through business rep on 17th. I didn’t get any acknowledgement email yet but when I check order status via automated phone system(I can’t view order on web) it tells me that it’s in process. Any idea what’s going on?

Delivery estimate is 27-30 July.

Still nothing. However, I have to say, as others have mentioned, expect movement around 2-4pm local time in China (still not there yet, 45 minutes to go to hit 2pm in Shanghai as I write this)

5 days later and still processing... looks like Apple doesn’t like me :(

Don’t feel too bad. I ordered my i9, 32 GB, 1 TB the day they were announced (8 days ago) and mine is still “Processing”. EST ship date is Jul 20-27. Argh...

Ouch, though you could go to any Apple store and pick one up, if you are near one, regardless of what availability says.

Wow! Where are you? I’m UK and have the same order.

Ironically, I live in San Jose, California. About 20 min from the spaceship on the freeway.

I think I may be low priority as my friend who works at Apple helped me order it (Friends & Family discount.) I’m thinking they give priority to non-employee customers, but that’s just a guess.

Mine also shows an export scan now at 1:30pm! Awesome! Gonna leave today for the USA. Can't wait!

Mine left Shanghai at 5:01pm local time.

Weird, mine has an export scan at 1:30 pm local time, but no departure scan yet. Also, it's not even 5pm in Shanghai yet on the 21st. Did you mean 5pm on July 20th instead?

Also, I just looked at Flightradar24.com to see if there are any flights that have left Shanghai recently and are airborne, I don't see any!

That's awfully nice. I'm also in SJ, ~ 5 min from HQ. Pretty crazy seeing both HQ1 and HQ2 on my way to work every morning and when I am doing chores. HQ2 looks amazing at night.

No, just mine from days ago. Should get a departure scan soon.

It sucks that Shanghai has such an inconvenient time difference with the USA. When they work, we sleep and when we work, they sleep. Can't ever stay up to enjoy the moment-moment updates on our scans as it happens (I know that the tracking is somewhat delayed, but still, hitting that refresh button and seeing a new status to your package just pumps the dopamine through your system).
[doublepost=1532158326][/doublepost]After some detective work and making an assumption that my laptop will depart from Shanghai, I checked on Flightaware.com for any flight leaving Shanghai on a UPS plane in the near future. I narrowed my search to this one specific flight, inbound from Sydney. ETA: 9 hours from now, or 12:27 AM Shanghai local time. Pretty interesting. Basically, by the time I wake up tomorrow morning, I will know if I am right or not. Exciting!
