I ordered my 13" on Tuesday (July 17) and about an hour ago I got the shipping notification. Estimated date: July 30. In the past, when I've had new iPhones, for example, they've typically arrived in ~3 days so I'm hoping the MacBook might be a little quicker than 10.

Update on the above:

I have a DHL Express tracking code now and it's showing as being in the Netherlands. The Apple order page still says July 30 but if it is indeed in Netherlands I find it hard to believe that it'll take another 9 days to get to Berlin. We'll see, I guess. :)

Well, at least you got an update that you package is moving through the DHL network to get you. Congrats.

Not to rain on your parade, but DHL tracking for apple products is terrible.

From the iPhone X shipping last year, all the DHL guys were thinking their phones were coming a lot sooner than the UPS guys. Turns out that the DHL tracking system kicks in when the huge pallet arrives in Holland and is split up into to the individual packages. Once split up and scanned, the tracking is updated regularly

Its best to watch the UPS guys tracking that have similar dates ( Order Processed / Scheduled Delivery) to have a rough idea on the realtime tracking

I requested the same thing, it got pushed back a day initially but then moved back to the original day. 13" + 16RAM coming to Alberta, Canada! Ordered July 16th, around 8:30AM EST and I paid for Expedited shipping.

Update! I'm in Alberta, Canada and it has arrived in the USA already! Expedited shipping is paying off now! Scheduled delivery moved to one day before Apple's earliest estimate.

Update: Now scheduled for delivery today (Sat, July 21)! Totally unexpected.

It took the following route: Shanghai -> Osaka -> Anchorage -> Louisville, KY -> Sacramento -> Silicon Valley

Nice! Usually, the packages go through Oakland before hitting the Silicon Valley, but maybe because you opted for expedited shipping, it skipped OAK. Anyways, congrats.

Now this is interesting. I used Flightaware.com to look for any scheduled flights between Shanghai and Anchorage. To my surprise, I discovered a UPS flight leaving at 3:17 AM Shanghai local time (leaving 90 minutes from now). The flight is UPS 81, supposedly the same 747 that made its way from Sydney only 9 hours ago.

Very interesting!

Only reason I'm pointing this out is because my 13" MBP might be on this flight.

Mine 15/2.2/32/2TB ordered 7/19, original estimate was Aug 2nd, just got shipped and FedEx tracking shows estimated delivery 7/25. And here is my question - in the box (or outside) are there any papers showing the price paid? I’m not going to be home that week and my wife will have to sign for it, trying to estimate whether it will be just couple of nights on the sofa or straight to divorce.

I doubt it. When I picked up my iPhone X at a UPS store last fall, it was in a brown box with only the UPS tracking info on it. In other words, the iPhone X box was inside another brown box.

Haha. I'm pretty sure there's nothing showing the price. I bought my girlfriend a MacBook for Christmas and IIRC it just had a paper in the outer box showing something along the lines of 1 x MacBook (spec...).

Still, a 2TB SSD... I'd get that sofa ready just in case. ;)

Another update: I am now convinced that this is the flight. Why? Simple, this flight is going directly to Louisville after stopping to refuel at Anchorage, just look at the schedule below.

On the positive note, if mine stays in “processing” much longer I’ll be eligible for an upgrade to the next model which might have solved the throttling issue LOL

You guys would be excellent private detectives! Good luck! Hope it arrives soon.

Lucky you, been processing for over 5 days now!

Same here. Showing Order In Progress since July 17th. I didn't even get order acknowledgment email.

My DHL express still says "Shipment information received" since tuesday. Apple Says shipped and in my hands by the 26th.

@bahmed - Initially I did order an i9/560 on 7/17, but cancelled it on 7/19 (was still showing ‘in progress’) and placed an order for i7/555. The second order was charged the next day and shipped one day later.

Mine is business order and through business lease. Previous orders were quick. I think i9/15" orders are slow because of high demand or it's usual for new product release?

So remember that UPS flight that mentioned earlier that is going from Shanghai to Anchorage and then finally to Louisville? UPS 33 (Sydney > Shanghai) and
UPS 81 (Shanghai > Anchorage), both flights are the same plane, a Boeing 747-400 and it has now landed in Anchorage (at 6:39 PM local time in Anchorage). Take a look at the 1st picture. I am anticipating/expecting that within the next hour or two that my tracking will be updated with a scan at Anchorage with "Import Scan" or "Arrival Scan." Still nothing at the moment. Take a look at picture 2.

This MacBook seems like it went on vacation to accumulate Mileage points. Not like they don’t have direct flights from Shanghai to California. Made 3 stops already.
Looks like Shanghai-Narita-Alaska-Kentucky-...?

UPS has huge hub/sorting facility in Anchorage, Alaska and I think their world port is in Kentucky. My MBP 2017 had same route. I’m in Canada

So it looks like most MBP are taking the Shanghai > Narita > Anchorage > Louisville route before being sorted and sent to their final destination in USA. I was under the assumption that if UPS had a direct flight from Shanghai to Anchorage, that it would take the route instead of making a stopover in Narita. I will now keep a look out for any UPS flights in this route. Obviously, the flights that I was tracking (UPS 33 and UPS 81) didn't have my MBP. This is because UPS 81 currently is on its way to Louisville and I didn't see any "Import Scan" or "Arrival Scan" when the Boeing 747 landed in Anchorage.

Yes. At least for MBPs that’s the route. If you are in West US/Canada then package may come directly from Anchorage. Otherwise it goes to Louisville and then to final destination.

Apple is using UPS express shipping option which clears customs in advance.
So when package comes to destination country customs are already cleared.
