Good. They ****ing deserve it with the little, outdated information they've been giving people about their shipments. Mine has now shipped too. I just hope it is actually moving through the Fedex system and not just sitting somewhere.

Since I ordered, it said "on or before the 28th." It has finally shipped , and it got rid of any statement about when it would arrive. The FedEx tracking (most reliable thing to go on right now, they have been right almost every time I have gotten something delivered through them), says it will be at my place "April 29th, by 4:30 pm."
Guess Apple wasn't right about when I was getting it, I was looking forward to taking an exam tomorrow (Brains, Behavior, and Information Processing, its going to be fun), and coming home to Tiger. Oh well. Back to studying, I guess.

mine says it has been shipped....... it was shipped 27/04/2005.......... now here is the interesting thing....... it was shipped with tnt, and there was a tracking number given, so off i pop to the tnt site, and apparantly it was delivered to somewhere in france in febuary and now it is coming over here to belfast and is allocated for delivery, dont know exactly what that means tho!

Just checked my order status and I'm still at "preparing shipment"!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered the day of the announcement. Still having a little hope that it actually shipped last night and the system hasn't updated.
I'm going to really be bummed if I have to go all weekend reading post about Tiger on message boards and not being able to relate.

Just checked status again right after I posted this and it shows SHIPPED at 9PM last night with expected arrival the 29th by 4:30PM. THANK YOU APPLE. I appologize for doubting you. ;-)

It clearly said "Shipping on or before the 28th", not "Arriving on or before the 28th". I don't know what made you think you'd get it a day earlier than the rest of us, since Apple's store made it pretty clear that everyone would be getting it the 29th.

Mine still hasn't shipped yet. Of course the same thing happened to me with Panther, Apple didn't say it had shipped until the day of its release and I got it that afternoon.
Mine still says "Preparing shipment"... it's been this way for 3 days now. How long does it take to put one box inside another, seal it, and slap a shipping label on it?

Friends, mine just shipped this morning. Woo, even though I won't be able to actually have it in my hands until May 8.
I am really getting annoyed, everyone is either receiving thiers today or has atleast some sort of shipping notification...I ordered mine as soon as i saw it on apples website(ie 12th April). Mine is still stuck on "preparing Shipment" .........grrrrrrr

UPDATE: Mine is now shipping. i am sorry Freg3000. I am sure yours will soon be shipping.. In the states you still have the whole day ahead..here the day is drawing to an end that is why i was getting worried. I pretty sure yours will also be shipping by the end of today!!
I wouldn't put too much faith in the online status. My shipping notice was e-mailed at 8:10am today, but FedEx shows it shipped yesterday at Noon.

As I've said before, FedEx are a bunch of jackasses; if Tiger ships today (which it better, or Apple's getting a NASTY phone call from me) and arrives in Charlotte tomorrow, it better be delivered to me correctly. I ordered mine minutes afterthe announcement, haven't received an e-mail (just checked), but it has not shipped yet.

That put a scare into me...went to check: no email, but I'm still preparing shipment.
I guess that is better than a multiday wait!
i just called and they upgraded me to priority overnight shipping but said that there was something going on with education orders that some of them were being delayed.

Hmmm, that sucks. Mine will be ok, only a day late (FedEx has it, out of Apple's hands to make me wait longer), but I feel sorry for the people who have to wait a long time just b/c they are students.
